Wow! Thanks, bbaptiste, for joining in. I had done my best nagging but had kind of given up on you.
You did, though, neglect to pick a winner in the game betwixt NE-Carolina. Please add that one. Thanks!

WEEK #2 Schedule.............

Sunday 9/18 at 1 pm ET:
...Pittsburgh @ Houston
...Detroit @ Chicago
...Minnesota @ Cincinnati
...Jacksonville @ Indianapolis
...Baltimore @ Tennessee
...New England @ Carolina
...Buffalo @ Tampa Bay
...San Francisco @ Philadelphia
Sunday 9/18 at 4 pm ET:
...St Louis @ Arizona
...Atlanta @ Seattle
...Miami @ NY Jets
...Cleveland @ Green Bay
...San Diego @ Denver
Sunday 9/18 at 8:30 pm ET:
...Kansas City @ Oakland
Monday 9/19 at 7:30 pm ET:
...NY Giants @ New Orleans
Monday 9/19 at 9:00 pm ET:
...Washington @ Dallas

16 games to pick and yall need to predict the total number of points that will be scored in the Washington vs Dallas game. The deadline is when the first kickoff occurs on Sunday (no slack, anymore).

The NY Giants @ New Orleans game was scheduled as an early game on Sunday but now seems to be a Monday evening game. San Antonio? I wouldn't want to be the Giants. Could be pretty emotional.

Thanks to the nine players who have already posted. From last week's players, I need cowdoc and gus. Panzade is always reliable, but comes in late when, as the expert here, he figures out which players have been taking their steroids on a regular basis.

As always, I invite new folks to join. Most of us don't know doodly about NFL football, but that is of no matter. I mean, what does Mr Bush know about being pr(stop right there, johnboy).

Hey, Johnny, I'll probably turn my picks in tomorrow. Are you going to be around this weekend? I drove my your house and saw you and your family getting ready for the Bengals/Vikings game....

I guess I didn't realize you were a Bengals fan.

At any rate..... enjoy the game.

Second thoughts...
Nobody picked Washington?
I can understand the consensus for Philly and Pittsburgh, but Dallas?

So I'm changing from Dallas to Washington.

Version 2:

---Pittsburgh
---Detroit
---Cincinnati
---Indianapolis
---Baltimore
---New England (of course)
---Tampa Bay
---Philadelphia
---Arizona
---Atlanta
---Miami
---Cleveland
---San Diego
---Kansas City
---New Orleans
---Washington (37)

...still pondering Indianapolis v Jacksonville...

I noticed you picked Green Bay as well, jpin.

I imagine you're not feeling too good about yourself either.

No... not feelin to good at all. I actually picked them last week as well and was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. That was one game I didn't mind losing.

Every Friday there is a woman in my office who dresses up in full packer regalia including an extremely gaudy green and gold striped pair of overalls. Most god awful things I have ever seen. I have a feeling I will take great pleasure in reporting many losing scores to her this season.

Yall sure are making johnboy's job easier this week. It is only Friday and we are up to 11 players with panzade sure to come. A no-nag weekend.
I might even troll through, stroll through some of the over Sports threads to find another possible player or two.

Changes duly noted. I have been holding off on doing the "Deviant of the Week Award" until after panzade posts. My thinikng was that we were more in agreement this week...but now I am seeing some pretty wild divergence. We shall see.
Carolina over New England? Johnboy wavers but sticks with NE.

Carolina is tempting on Sunday but they lost all pro Kris Jenkins from the defensive line and I got a feeling Corey Dillon is gonna have a good day running the ball for the Patriots.
I'm wavering on the Buffalo-Tampa Bay game. Buffalo's defense is getting better all the time...but can they stop the Cadillac?

Folks,

I have a fantasy poser. I get to start two runnig backs (out of four) in my fantasy league. So far I'm starting Kevin Jones of the Lions going against the Bears and Cadillac poing against Buffalo. However, I'm sitting the Ravens' Jamal Lewis in what's sure to be a bang-a-thon smashmouth battle with the Titans. Shoiuld I sub Jamal in for one of my starters? Which one? The injury report says J. Lewis has a broken finger, so I don't know.

Help.

I'd sub Cadillac. I'm banking on Buffalo teaching this rookie a lesson.

Deviant of the week award and scores are as follows:
Choosing the straight and narrow are fbaezer (no deviation from the majority), panzade (2 points), and cowdoc (4); muddling around in the mid-range are johnboy (8), gus and jpinmilw (10), and region and el diablo (14); and out there on the path not taken by the rest of us are dragon (18) ray (22) bbaptiste (24) AND, FOR THE SECOND WEEK IN A ROW, GEORGE (26).
As mentioned last week, a low score or a high score in this little diversion is neither good nor bad but merely indicates how close to, or how far from, each player is from the majority of pickers.
