Is the history of the universe God trying to remember itself?

Have you ever wondered whether reality is God trying to recollect itself? Like atoms to nuclear energy, to human history, and even concepts.
Perhaps socialism and capitalism are part of God's memory, and also events like concerts and using the motorway.

What would you think about that - God trying to remember itself is the same as people using a motorway, or an escalator, or an entire history of chemical interactions?

@Thomas33,
But memory is past tense, recalling what happened. Wouldn't it be more likely that God lived in an eternal present? Since I imagine it as knowing the future as well maybe the whole process from creation to extinction is just experienced as one moment for an infinite being.

@hightor,
If it is past tense, that could explain why it is a task for God. Perhaps the point is for that one moment, that you reference, but for it to contain no information. So within the one moment would feature none of the arguments a person lives, or the rotations of a planet, or any life form's dreams and thoughts - or any movement of any object.
