NAACP pays for votes with crack cocaine

I realize the Democrats here would prefer CNN's titling of the story over that chosen by Mysteryman, but how is it "spin" if the included details (the NAACP is mentioned, votes were allegedly paid for with crack cocaine.

It is comments such as these that would just fly by me if those who choose to criticize would make even the smallest attempt to apply the same standards to ALL such examples.

Gosh, Craven, I'm just on pins and needles wondering how you'd have titled the thread to be totally "spin-free".

I too hope it will be dealt with accordingly. That doesn't mean I'd post a thread about it overstating the case to make it more inflammatory.

It just brings out partisan sniping, which you'll have to continue without me.

Now, what gave this away, I'm not kidding you, this guy Chad Staton, what he was supposed to do was take these voter registration forms, go out there and register 120 individuals. But he didn't want to do that kind of work. That would be running around and meeting 120 people, he didn't want to mess with that. So he filled them out himself, leaving more time to enjoy the crack cocaine. And what did he do? He filled out a voter registration form for Mary Poppins, for Dick Tracy, for Michael Jordan, Jeffrey Dahmer, and George Foreman and put them all at the same address. Everybody knows they don't live in Defiance, Ohio. And Mary Poppins is not even alive. So he fraudulently filled out more than a hundred voter registration forms, paid for each registration form he could get citizens to fill out, but it was he himself who filled them out and returned them to the woman who hired him from Toledo.


Now, one little new twist here. According to Sheriff Westrick, the NAACP's National Voter Fund had submitted the false registrations to the election board in Cleveland. They went ahead and turned them in. That's how the whole thing was blown, so to speak, because Chad Staton paid in crack from Georgianne Pitts apparently with a link to Thaddeus J. Jackson II, fills out these phony forms with Mary Poppins and George Foreman and Dick Tracy and Michael Jordan and hands them in. And then they in turn got registered as voters with these phony registration forms to the elections board in Cleveland. George Forbes, Cleveland Chapter President of NAACP said Monday the voter fund operates independently from his chapter. A-ha! So the NAACP voter fund is a separate entity from the NAACP National Voter Fund. So it appears here that Thaddeus J. Jackson II may have just been disenfranchised because he's in charge of the NAACP. Well, he's just been cast to the wolves here. "Ah, it's not part of our organization, we don't know what this is."

So we'll keep a sharp eye on this, ladies and gentlemen, but you know, we got Rock the Vote, and Crack the Vote now. As we said yesterday, there's some obvious questions here, and will they be asked? Doesn't seem like they're being asked
