There you are! Good girl Montana! Was worried cause you hadn't checked in for Foxy's gold stars on the other thread! Glad you're still in charge!
Sorry to hear about the deadbeatÂ… again.

Sorry for being so late checking in. I'm been keeping myself very busy in the house with home improvements that I've been putting off, so don't mind me if I vanish for awhile. I tend to do that every now and then when I get in the project mode.

Thanks for the support guys :-D

(((((HUGS))))) to you all :-D

M, I never knew you smoked. You bad girl you. Wink

I quit almost five years ago. Since then, I've gained about 25 pounds, ever so slowly, even though I don't pig out on food and work out regularly. I'm convinced there is something in cigs that keeps weight off. Probably a toxin.

Anyway, keep up the good work. I'm with you 100%.

Probably toxic, yes... but they are also a proven appetite suppressant. Plus, didn't you always know when you'd had enough to eat because your smokes were getting impatient?

My weight's varied 15 pounds since quitting 4.5 months ago. Up 10 right now... but I've been learning how to bake my own bread lately, so it's expected.

Rock on Montana!

Yeah, I'm worried about gaining weight, but so far I haven't, so that's good. I think that's mainly because I am more active due to the fact that I make sure I always have something to do. Being physical helps keep my mind off things.

I gained about 15 lbs in the first 6 weeks after quitting. Then I went on a low-carb diet and lost 28 in about 6 weeks. Now I just avoid excessive carbs and things seem to have stabilized. Cool thing about going low-carb is that I was always thinking about food instead of cigs...worked well.

Low carb is definitely the bomb, Jer. That one works for everyone. I'm doing the opposite because I love homemade bread (new novelty). But it's not like I'm eating ice-cream.
