Tsar is alright, just taking a break from the ridiculous thumbing up and down by a few. He's mostly on Facebook, A2K is becoming an increasingly hostile site, I can't blame him.

At some point during the next two months, I'll probably work up the courage to visit with Tsar (Steve) and Joe Nation (Jonathan) in The City. The train ride into town still is daunting, but Nancy and I (both vaccinated) are venturing out a bit more each day. Kickycan has moved to Florida...and Blatham is on his island, so I doubt they will be able join Jonathan and me at the Frying Pan any time soon.

But if any of that happens, I'll report it here...and try for a picture.

I think the thumbing disease is temporarily in remission. It mysteriously dropped after the departure of u/longjon.

Many here groan when any mention of spendius is made, but I actually became fond of him before the end. I would welcome him back if he miraculously appeared.

I was told through other Brit correspondents of an "Artists line" I participated in that spendius had died. I can never feel confident from anything told me anywhere on the interweb.

Its become a real spiders web ..

I too miss spendius his disagreements were always based in intelligence, not rancor or verbal preening.

I think it's a given that Spendious (a Carthage slave) and Matho(s) (leader of the barbarians) were one and the same.

Mathos had a long running thread - The Red Rose County of Lancashire. However he 'lost' the photographs from the hosting site.

He left and took Spendious with him, but as far as I know he is alive and has just celebrated his Golden Wedding anniversary.
