Ya know, it wouldn't be a bad idea to create a voluntary emergency contact list, that could be kept by a member {two or three would be better for redundancy}....such as Jes, or Soz or anyone that can be trusted to keep such info private, and would be willing to spend a few minutes to compile said info.
Mainly {or only} to be used when someone mentions a health problem/illness, then disappears for a month or two...might save a few worry wrinkles.
Good idea with one thought. It would applicable to those present on the threads that agree to it.
It would probably be presumptious to make that decision for those not in attendance.
Sea
I'll fit that into the five seconds free I have every day.
Anyway, f'man -- I just sent him a new password. As thought, he had issues with the changeover of the site. That may be an issue that Gus is having, BTW -- anyone try to reach him via email?
I don't think anyone has it (does anyone have it)?
I did some further sleuthing after the stuff I posted -- also had pangs and so stopped posting as I got, I think, closer. Sent an email to a possibility -- I'm hoping that at least if this isn't THE person, it may be a person who knows farmerman and can give us some leads.
No response yet.
I'm not opposed to the idea of being a keeper of some kind of list -- maybe it could be in a password-protected area of Rendezvous Point (the site I made to deal with A2K being down, if it's down), and then I'd share the password with a few other people (agreed-upon people) so if I'm like on vacation or just very busy it's not a big deal. (And I appreciate the idea that I would be trusted with that info, thanks.)
OK, I made this:
http://sitekreator.com/Rendezvous/contact_info.html
Note, the idea is not to launch this NOW, but to give an idea of how it'd work.
I'd like to have a couple more people agreed upon to have access to the list before we do it.
Agree with splendid idea.

Jes...does this mean that we know Farmerperson is ok, it was just a password thing?
Not to be misused. Lezzles was heavily looked for and resurrected to a lot of our joy, though I don't know all so much of the byways of that.
I've just been found by a teen friend, not from online but other means... er, I'm 65. #####
I value privacy, and farmerman doesn't fling his info around.
Still..
I bet his name is there somewhere on the Darwin foo in PA.

Yep -- he sent us an email via el Help Desko.
Thank you, jespah! Farmerman had us worried.
Well, that would be lovely.
I know he doesn't want to think of himself as lovely.
But it would be to see him back.
CHRISSAKES-ya go out of town for a month and they change over the whole damn site. THANKS JESS.
They got me a new honkin 'puter while I was away. It appears that I was the last guy in my co that was still using Windows 98. Hey, whats wrong with being frugal?
Glad to be back
