How could this result in harassment?

I am NOT a moderator, but I think I can answer that.

Sometimes they have to make unpopular decisions. I can think of a few times when a lot of us here have been outraged at actions taken against a popular member. If we had known the names of the moderators, they surely would have been harassed! Their PM boxes would have been full of irate messages! And we might not have continued to interact with them in a friendly manner. That would not be fair to them, because in most cases we don't know all the particulars. And after all, the moderators are volunteers who generously donate their time to enforce the TOS and attempt to keep the site civil.

I agree, Eva. And I, too, am not a moderator.

C.I., banned? Hard to imaging. The Devil must have possessed this generally reasonable and mild mannered person. I hope he's reinstated soon. He's a great asset to A2K.

In that case, he was possessed for quite some time, at least when visiting the Politics forum. Hopefully his vacation, voluntary or otherwise, will result in an exorcism.

I look forward to the return of a more reasonable and mild-mannered c.i.

Since I stay away from the Politics forum, I haven't seen the "possessed" c.i. you speak of. But elsewhere, I have found him utterly charming. (Especially in person!) I do hope he comes back. And soon.

Look, I could swear (actually most of my conversations ARE swearing) that I logged on to this... august slice of Cyberia to find that the lovable and non-swearing CI had been banned. I took this very hard. If they* could banish a voice of reason and excellent travel news then permanently drunk, foul-mouthed, Gus-baiting, unemployable, f*ckwitted Australians could be next on the list! Then I realised there was only ONE OF THOSE on A2K and I was it! And I had just launched a thread asking if Gus and Micheal Jackson weren't the same person then why was it that:

a. They had never been seen together
b. MJ keeps a capyabara section in his zoo (read 'love-nest')

Am I mistaken, a 'wally'? (thank YOU Deb! Just when I am *starting* to open up - in with the slipper!)

Or could this be the alternate A2K???? Or KA2 as I now call this?? It is so clear now......

*they? not sure, only they know who they are

Er...I have often seen the CI who gets suspended's works....if they get wiped before you see 'em, they are unexpected. He is...um...different..at these times.

I mean, we all go nutso sometimes in the heat of passion, but CI is really out there.

You clearly haven't seen that, Stilly.

Lol..I used to see a lot, because I was often here in the wee small hours US time...before the cleaners come.

I seen all sorts of stuff.

Your stuff must remain within TOS.

If you don't break TOS, you'll be fine. Simple as that.

CI has been here a long time...he knows what he does.

We all carry our monkeys/hobgoblins/demons with us where-ever we may be...

The African aphorism is correct:

"Where-ever you go, well - there you are!">

Next in line after my other favourite African aphorism....

'Two bum cheeks can not but rub against each other*'.

What I mean is that he's carrying some serious baggage around with him - never quite got to see it, though I may have sorely tried his patience with some uncalled for 'interjections'.

Only had one... interaction... removed from A2K. Not too proud of that.... when you rise to the bait you are very open to being swept up in the net. no?

Hmmm...I would have thought a hook in the mouth a more likely result of rising to the bait.

Aren't you just quietly minding your own business when you get netted?

PDiddie is alive and well. He can be found at his blog, which is probably accessable through his posts. If that's too hard and you want to go there, I can PM anybody interested.

Suspension was what I actually meant, osso. Being sent to Limbo or Purgatory for a wee bit to chill out.

PDiddie had posted at some point (paraphrasing from memory) that he was stopping with all this stuff to get involved in real life efforts. I met him at the SF a2k get together, he's a great guy.
If you converse with him, Edgar, tell him and Mrs. PDiddie 'hi'.

Msolga, I was a-clarifying because there can be misunderstanding.. not directed to you.

I think - can easily be wrong, that colorbook posted as being involved in other things and said hi -- a buncha months ago.
