10 Commandments fruitcake Roy Moore goes down. Again.
Quote:
When it comes to the state's elected leaders, it's been a rough 10 months for Alabama. In June, Mike Hubbard (R), the state's former House Speaker, was forced to resign in disgrace after being convicted of multiple felonies. Last month, Robert Bentley (R), the state's former governor, was forced to resign as part of a plea agreement in the wake of his sex/corruption scandal.

And then there's state Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore (R). The Alabama Media Group reported yesterday:
Quote:
The Alabama Supreme Court today upheld the decision that removed Roy Moore from his position as chief justice. [...]

Moore can't appeal the ruling to the federal courts because there are no federal issues. "This is it," he said.

Moore's term on the state bench wasn't up until 2019, but the suspension is effective immediately, and it has the effect of ending his judicial career. Because of his age, AL.com's report added, "he cannot run for the office again."
Benen
I can't imagine the guy will disappear from sight though. He is far too invested in his worldview of an over-arching universal battle between Good and Evil and in his righteous duty to join this inter-galactic war so that America is saved from liberalism with it's clear threat that Moore himself and his grandsons will all be sodomized by Beelzebub who has a very big, red and spiky penis.

Jesus christ in heaven. Look at this ridiculous administration photographer portrayal of Pence at the Korean border.

https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1000/1*Xxxeq3UIIFUMq45BHl3fYA.jpeg

This is meant entirely for domestic political consumption. He is steadfast. He is firm. He is clear-sighted. He is serious. Very, very serious. And manly.

He is going to glower North Korea into submission and proper behavior.

You can count on this guy.

He was actually quoted saying something about wanting the North Koreans to see the resolve of the United States "on his face". You can't make this **** up.

The Times Sports staff (Who reads the Times for sports?) tweeted out comparison photos from the Patriots’ 2015 visit claiming to show a major disparity in player and staff attendance.

Following the New England Patriots’ latest visit to the White House Wednesday, the New York Times compared team pictures with the president from 2015 (during the Obama administration) and 2017 (during the Trump administration) in a tweet that’s been retweeted more than 30,000 times.

The Patriots immediately debunked that by posting a different photo and then adding a comment saying: “These photos lack context. Facts: In 2015, over 40 football staff were on the stairs. In 2017, they were seated on the South Lawn.” Perhaps, this is why people shouldn’t read the Times for sports.

@farmerman,
what does OOC mean? Urban dictionary says it means 'out of character'.
Bars of what? candy?

@ossobucotemp,
I'm guessing he means "Out Of Contact" and his "bars" refers to his cell phone or it means there are very few drinking establishments where is is currently located.

Indeed: there are a lot more than on the steps:

Now, layman, compare that to the similar one from 2015 (all on the Patriot's website) ...

@Walter Hinteler,
Heh, nice try cheese-eater. The whole picture was pointless to begin with--who gives a rat's ass about the Patriots, anyway?

The only reason I responded at all was to point out how readily the NYT makes DELIBERATE attempts to create false impressions, and how quickly cheese-eaters like you lap that **** up like useful idiots.

That they want to lie about even the most petty, irrelevant "issues" says a lot about their M.O. and their agenda of hate (and yours).

Quote:
Attorney General Jeff Sessions can’t believe that a federal judge based on “an island in the Pacific”—what the rest of us simply call Hawaii—was able to block President Donald Trump’s executive order barring immigrants from a handful of majority-Muslim countries.

“We are confident that the President will prevail on appeal and particularly in the Supreme Court, if not the Ninth Circuit,” Sessions said in a Wednesday night interview on “The Mark Levin” radio show, first flagged by CNN’s KFILE. “So this is a huge matter. I really am amazed that a judge sitting on an island in the Pacific can issue an order that stops the President of the United States from what appears to be clearly his statutory and Constitutional power.”
TPM
Not only is it just an island, the levels of miscegeny there are an affront to God who, if you look at His pictures, is white.

As the piece notes further on, it isn't just courts in Hawaii who have made similar rulings. Sessions is being dishonest on several legal points as you'll see if you read the piece.

But what really caught my attention is where he appeared to spread this stuff - the Mark Levin show.

NYMag has a good piece on this. Somebody in the NYT sports section screwed up and it got past the Sports editor.

Dang! Look at all those super successful people all in one room. That would make me happy to. Not a single one of them relying on the government for a single thing. Nice.

I don't know what the heck is going on with Chaffetz. Last week he said he wasn't going to run for re-election and now he says he may not finish his term. He's going into the private sector but is, at least for now, leaving open the option of running in three years (perhaps for governor). He's an ambitious and power-hungry guy so it's all rather weird. Big money offer? Doesn't want to be dirtied by association with the Trump chaos? God knows.
