North Korea has nuclear weapons and a leader who seems to be mentally ill and has threatened several times to nuke us. We can either let him improve his missiles until they can reach us or we can stop him before that occurs. I think it would be madness to let him develop the capability to kill millions of our citizens in one blow. It is like being in a room with a crazy person who says he wants to kill you and is in the act of loading a gun. You can either let him have the means to kill you or stop him before the gun is loaded. Right now, Kim Jong-Un cannot reach us with missiles. In a year or so, he will be able to. I think that we cannot let him develop the means to drop nuclear bombs on us. It's one thing for a country that has bad rulers who are sane and risk averse to be able to nuke us. It's quite another thing when it is madman who has even referred to nuking us.

You make a compelling case that war is inevitable. Sad

@McGentrix,
It makes it easier to pretend that Trump isn't remotely influenced by people like Alex Jones, and you like to pretend your fellow Trump supporters are a very tolerant and reasonable bunch.

Let's pretend is your thing.

Hey, if you let some of them, they'll explain to you how shock and awe is Christlike.

Replace "shock and awe" with any of the myriad other US propagandist memes meant to disguise the myriad war crimes and it's apparent the christian USA is anything but. There are devil worshippers and they haven't come close to perpetrating upon innocents what the USA has done.

A real, an honest look at US history reveals perhaps the deepest evil that has ever existed, hidden by the best propaganda one could imagine.

What I've never seen is a Christian (of any stripe) talk about a bloodthirsty Jesus.

You and snood can criticize the hypocrisy of certain Christians with taking it so far over the line.
Of course they don't describe Jesus as bloodthirsty. There's a severe disconnect between how they would think/talk about Jesus and the notions and actions they hold while still believing they represent some image of the Christian message. The broad support for torture among evangelists during the Bush presidency (and after) is just one aspect of this disconnection. Their common and eager zest for war is another.

@thack45,
Did you expect them to exclude the US in their warning, or issue a public statement saying something to the effect of "The US has convinced us that we need to warn NK?"

You have to look for what is new.

The fact of the matter is that the North Korean's just staged an enormous celebration/exhibition in honor of the founder of the Kim Dynasty. Thousands upon thousands of NK military personnel goose-stepped down the main avenue followed by missiles on trucks.

Guess what didn't happen? They didn't launch another test missile.

It would have been a perfect act of defiance by Fat Boy on this day when throngs cried out in their worship of him, and it is why the warnings from the US and China were timed in conjunction.

If you want to think the world is heading to WWIII because Trump and his Administration are inept, need to wag the dog, or are just plain crazy, so be it.

In reality a lot has changed in the past couple of weeks and for the good of peace, not war.

@oralloy,
If China doesn't join the US in exerting pressure on NK, it probably will be, but that seems to have changed and so I have new hope.

This is the first bad review I've seen:

Quote:
(Karzai) accused the American military of using the presence of Islamic State militants to turn his country into a laboratory for testing its weapons.

Karzai is a corrupt swine.

The only reason I can imagine for W favoring him is that he looks like Ben Kingsly.

Damn you're disingenuous or reading comprehension challenged. Duking it out with a straw man. I intimated that some so-called Christians would try to justify any terrible act of war by finding a way to argue it was Christ-like. I didn't say or suggest anything at all about Jesus himself.

Reality is not your long suit, in fact you hold no reality cards ever, Finn. Witness by the fact that you ask questions and then you do the cowardly thing and ignore.

That really is a common thing here, the coward thing, so at least you have good company.

China reportedly sent 150,000 troops to North Korea's border

Amid a productive phone call between President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, Chinese state-run media reported that 150,000 Chinese troops went to North Korea's border.

In March, Business Insider talked to Sim Tack, a North Korea expert at Stratfor, a geopolitical-analysis firm, who speculated how Chinese forces could stop North Korea's nuclear program without firing a shot.

Chinese forces in North Korea would "be in a position to force a coup or force Kim's hand" to disarm, Tack said.

Ultimately, China, North Korea's biggest backer, would attempt "to make sure North Korea still exists and serves Chinese interests while it stops acting as a massive bull’s eye to the US," he added.

Besides its possible troop build-up, China also seems willing to apply pressure to the Kim regime in other ways. Last week, Beijing ordered its customs authorities to reject coal imports from North Korea — a big hit to the regime's wallet, since coal makes up about 40% of its total exports.

Things never go well for a punk-ass bitch when they take to makin hollow-ass threats, eh?

I pity the fool.

@snood,
You just can't help but react with belligerence snood.

Read what I wrote and challenge your reading comprehension. You will find that I never suggested you or blatham said anything about Jesus.

I objected, pretty clearly, to your suggesting any Christians might boast of a bloodthirsty "Shock & Awe" Christ.

You made the suggestion to begin with so now back it up rather than creating a true straw man to fight.

Or just forget it, because I doubt you will admit you are wrong with this latest post.

@layman,
Supports what I have been repeatedly posting in this thread. Unfortunately far too many people are so invested in hating Trump they refuse to see reality.
