They may well end up in prison. But they belong in some sort of a 20x30x30' pit with a pack of hyenas or painted dogs....

Populism. It's so cool. Looking out for the little guy. Trump's your man. The GOP is your party.

President Trump and congressional Republicans are poised to roll back a series of Obama-era worker safety regulations targeted by business groups, beginning Monday night with a vote by the Senate to kill a rule that required federal contractors to disclose and correct serious safety violations.

...A half-dozen other worker safety regulations are in Republican crosshairs, with one headed to the Senate floor as soon as this week. Many are directed at companies with federal contracts. Such companies employ 1 in 5 American workers — meaning the effort could have wide-ranging effects.

I understand that the administration and GOP led congress are also now considering sending the Statue of Liberty back to FrenchieLand and replacing it with a really big mock up of the Triangle Shirtwaist Building to commemorate when there was Liberty in the land.

So far as I know, you do not own a business in America?

It's funny because my best friend runs a somewhat profitable business and he, and other business owners in the area, says that when OSHA pays a visit, it's not a matter of IF they will find a problem, it's "How much is this going to cost me?"

He has a person who spends more than 50% of their day just handling Federal regulatory stuff. The local Chamber of Commerce members have been absolutely in love with Trump and his regulatory stance.

Trump hits Obama (falsely) over Gitmo

President Trump used Twitter on Tuesday to again bash predecessor Barack Obama — this time in a false claim about Guantanamo Bay prisoner releases — and to promote the release of the new House health care bill.

Trump said that "122 vicious prisoners, released by the Obama Administration from Gitmo, have returned to the battlefield. Just another terrible decision!" However, more more than 90% of those detainees were released during the George W. Bush administration, not that of Obama.

The tweet appears to be a response to reports of a military strike in Yemen that killed a fighter who had been imprisoned at Gitmo.

A report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said that of the 122 Gitmo detainees who returned to the battlefield, only nine of them were released after Obama took office in January 2009.

@gungasnake,
Interesting article:

Quote:
BOMBSHELL: Josh Earnest Just Threw Obama UNDER THE BUS Over Wiretapping Trump Tower

On Sunday, former press secretary for Barack Obama, Josh Earnest, appeared on ABC’s “This Week” to discuss the wiretapping allegations made against his former boss, and his answer isn’t going to sit too well with Obama.

At first, Earnest tried to claim that the reports about the wiretapping were “false,” in keeping with the Democrat narrative since President Trump first tweeted the accusations.

However, it didn’t take long for him to change his tune, and when he was asked to “categorically deny” that Trump Tower was under surveillance, his answer spoke volumes.

“Here’s the simple answer to that question, Martha,” Earnest finally answered. “I don’t know..."

Kinda strange, eh? Why would he try to say, at first, that it was false if he doesn't know?

Ben Carson has added some commentary to his slaves as immigrants argument. I'll quote them in full here:
Quote:
In America you'll get food to eat
Won't have to run through the jungle
And scuff up your feet
You'll just sing about Jesus and drink wine all day
It's great to be an American

Ain't no lions or tigers ain't no mamba snake
Just the sweet watermelon and the buckwheat cake
Everybody is as happy as a man can be
Climb aboard little wog sail away with me

.......

Apparently Blatham is still pondering the Ben Carson matter. Clearly Ben Carson didn't write this mocking drivel, and I doubt that Blatham did either. More likely he copied it from some screed he read in his continuing pursuit of fresh material. Either way he doesn't have the courage to address the truth of the matter, and instead resorts to this **** to distract his audience.

Officials from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement aka ICE conducted raids in at least 6 states this week, arresting illegal alien criminals in a major sweep that gives us a glimpse into what’s to come under a “law & order” Trump administration.

The raids took place in Georgia, Illinois, New York, California, and North & South Carolina. Illegal criminals were arrested at their homes and workplaces. Immigration watchers say that raids also took place in the states of Florida, Kansas, Texas and Virginia.

ICE officials told NBC News that 200 criminal illegals had been arrested in Georgia and North & South Carolina.

Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Gillian Christensen told the Post “We’re talking about people who are threats to public safety or a threat to the integrity of the immigration system.” The majority were guilty of serious crimes, including murder, according to the spokeswoman.

@revelette1,
How many Americans would return "to the battlefield" after being falsely imprisoned for 15 years?

How many Americans would return "to the battlefield" if their country had been illegally invaded six or eight or plus 70 times?

These perverts should never have spent 15 years at Gitmo to begin with. We should have just busted a cap in their sorry ass on day one, ya know? Then they wouldn't be out there now, running around with suicide bombs strapped to their sorry ass.

Inertia, force of habit...

dems only ever throw one of their own under the bus if it reaches some sort of a point of total insanity and it becomes politically impossible to defend some sort of an inveterate super loser like Obunga. Last time it happened was probably Mike Nifong in NC....

Naw, he don't, exactly, does he? He could be the next mayor of any one of a number of sanctuary cities, though, I suppose.

He doesn't look like the kind who could get himself elected as dog-catcher round these here parts. He wouldn't have any trouble getting some buckshot pumped into his ass, though, know what I'm sayin?
