I remember one time when I was a teen-ager some punk coming running into the pool hall, breathless, saying "Layman, you're in big-ass trouble. Big Dave is lookin for your ass."

I said: "No ****? You run on back and tell Big Dave I'll be right here at the pool hall all day, eh?"

Big Dave never showed up, for some damn reason.
