Nothing wrong with hightor's analogy. We still have accidental killings in the home where children kill their siblings, and some times their parents.

Why aren't you crying for the death of children by accidental drowning in swimming pools...the numbers are vastly larger then for accidental firearm deaths.

So either you're just a cold heartless bastard who really doesn't give a **** about children or you're using the death of children to further your political stance of denying people their Liberty and their Birthright under the Constitution.

When liberals falsely accuse the NRA of lying, that only shows how much liberals hate civil rights.

It's the second one. Liberals just plain hate civil rights.

Where did you get your education? Seriously? You have everything backwards. Are you capable of fact checking anything?

It is a form of social liberalism, whose accomplishments include the Works Progress Administration and the Social Security Act in 1935, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

I have nothing backwards. Liberals are a proven enemy of freedom and civil rights. That is why it was so important to elect Donald Trump. He will protect our rights no matter how hard the Left tries to abolish them.

@oralloy,
You're blind. Trump wanted to ban all Muslims from entering this country. A judge in Washington overturned it. Trump doesn't understand our Constitution. Evidently, you don't either.
Trump even criticized that judge which proves Trump doesn't understand our form of government. Trump thinks he was elected as our king.
Boy. You guys sure are ignorant.

Lyndon Johnson who passed the 1964 Civil Rights Act was a Democrat.

Hardly. The Left's attempts to violate our Constitutional rights are all very well documented.

cicerone imposter wrote:

Even if that were true (it isn't), it would not change the fact that the Democrats have a well-documented history of trying to violate our civil rights.

cicerone imposter wrote:

He understands it well enough to prevent the Democrats from violating it.

cicerone imposter wrote:

No, I understand it just fine. That's why I voted for Trump. He will prevent the Democrats from violating our rights.

cicerone imposter wrote:

Do you think our system of government outlaws criticism of judges or something?

@cicerone imposter,
Trump is going to build a wall on our southern border that is estimated to cost $21 billion dollars and billions more to maintain it. A wall that can be penetrated.

That's a waste in every sense of the word. We need to upgrade our infrastructure, our schools, and our hospitals. We need to stop increasing our national debt on stupid ideas such as walls.

By passing laws and issuing orders that violate our rights.

cicerone imposter wrote:

Yes. Now. But it was close.

Putting Trump in charge prevented the Democrats from destroying our freedom, but if Trump hadn't been elected we'd be on our way to losing the Constitution right now.

cicerone imposter wrote:

Somewhat.

cicerone imposter wrote:

Thankfully we have prevented most of their violations. Though if Trump hadn't been elected things would be pretty bad right now. America came close to disaster there with Hillary and Obama.

There are a number of Left-wing localities that have passed assault weapons bans. People's rights are certainly being violated in those localities.

And there is the move to prevent disabled war veterans from being able to have guns if they don't balance their own checkbooks.

I'm just hoping you comprehend what you read.

@cicerone imposter,
Here's the basics for you, and how you are protected.
Quote:
For example, you can say whatever you want about the President. You can say that you don't like his hair. You can say you don't like his voice. You can say you don't like the war in Iraq. You can say you don't like his tax ideas. It seems normal to us to be able to say these things. We can criticize the President. We can criticize a member of Congress. We can criticize a mayor. We can say what things they do that we don't like. This is only possible because of the Right of Free Speech. The Bill of Rights protects Free Speech.

The freedom to express yourself, in speech, in writing, and in protest, is also protected by the Bill of Rights.
Imagine if there was no right to free speech. A law could be passed that says that if you criticize the President's hair, you can spend a day in jail. Or worse, criticizing the President's taxes can get you a year in jail. These are the kinds of laws that the Framers were afraid of. The Bill of Rights protects us from such laws. We cannot be put in jail because of our opinions.
The Bill of Rights protects a lot of other freedoms. For example, you can believe in any religion you want. The government cannot force you to believe in something. You cannot be forced to house soldiers in your home. The police cannot come into your home without a good reason. The police may not take your papers without reason. The police cannot force you testify against yourself in court. In fact, the police cannot force you to tell them anything at all. This is called the "right to remain silent". And you cannot be given unusual punishments. You cannot be given twenty years in jail for speeding.

So you are against the Constitution? Or is there anything in the Constitution which says that Trump is above it?
