I haven’t been on this site for a long time – several months now – mostly because I had become very weary of the angry & condescending prose, coming mostly from dedicated consumers of progressive BS, and the vitriol of Trump-hating posters here. – both endlessly repeated. I will readily concede that much of the opposition response on the site has many of the same characteristics. However, it all began here and is largely sustained by the never-Trumpers who appear to constitute a majority here (if not among the voting public).
Democrats settled on ‘ole Joe Biden after exhausting all their other possibilities, ranging from Warren to Sanders, and others, and finally to Bloomberg. Biden’s failing abilities have since become evident, and now his corrupt venality is also becoming apparent to all. He was never much of a choice, and that’s why Democrats so assiduously looked everywhere else for an alternative. They are now working hard at the hopeless task of making a virtue out of this necessity (or polishing a turd, as we termed it in the Navy).
At his very best Biden was a long - term Senatorial lightweight, given to frequent gaffes and occasional episodes of alarming plagiarism. Over a decade ago, he was a safe and harmless way to add a veneer of experience and Democrat legitimacy to the candidacy of the then new figure on the Democrat political scene, - Barack Obama. As is becoming increasingly apparent, his main contribution as Vice President was making stupid recommendations for policy (for example the strike on Bin Laden), and the sale of our foreign policy to interested bidders.
The very visible and often irrational hatred of Speaker Pelosi and Senate Minority leader Schumer and their so far fruitless nearly four year campaign to Take down President Trump; and their recent threats to pack the courts and (somehow) add states & Senators to the country -- all accompanied by the truly nutty Green New Deal policies articulated in the New Left Party Platform document (and in some areas recently denied by the hapless Biden) , haven’t helped their cause either.
I now firmly believe Biden and his Democrat backers are headed for a real defeat in the coming election, probably by a larger margin than we saw in 2016. I also believe Republicans will retain a majority in the Senate and pick up several currently Democrat seats in the House of Representatives.
I won’t hang around to see the responses this post may ignite. It has all been posted here many times already.
Despite this I wish all here well. Perhaps I’ll wander back in a few months.

I'd wonder, if you had a different 'belief'.

Thanks, same to you and yours. (And it would be not too bad at all to have you back.)
@georgeob1,
Welcome back to the land of the free and the home of the brave or it will be as soon as we get rid of that low life conman and get a real president once more in the oval office.
One that will not as one of his very first acts as president kicked everyone out of the oval office for a private meeting with the Russian Ambassador.
@georgeob1,
I'm very sorry that you've been pushed away by the frankly disgusting rhetoric of the anti-Trump crowd that dominates A2K.
I hope that you and your family are doing well, and that you're all able to whether the storm of the social unrest caused by unhinged leftist lunatics in the coming weeks.
God bless you, and stay safe.

However, I feel one of his 1st acts after losing will be to kick everyone out of the oval office for a private meeting with the Russian, then the Turkish, then the Chinese, then the Ukranian Ambassadors to negotiate a place he can live without going to prison!
@georgeob1,
same old supercilious nonsense.
@MontereyJack,
None of which you can refute.
@georgeob1,
Hi george. All the best to you as well. Re your comments, I'll just make the observation that the pandemic has been disappeared. That is an omission of some significance.
Gobi one as I know him isn't on my wish list for xmas lunch. '
But there's no refuting the content of that bulletin post of his.

As in what?
It’s easier to understand if you factor in that they actually think Trump has been
good for this country.
@Builder,
Non of which he proves, since they're purely his own extremely biased opinion. The polls have consistently disagreed with him as does history.
@snood,
I'm quite gobsmacked that you'd take the time.
@snood,
That's ok, I'll allow time for Builder to organize his thoughts and respond in a respectful, concise manner.
