@coldjoint,
WalkAway campaign Wikipedia article wrote:
Controversy

News sources have debated the extent to which WalkAway is an example of astroturfing rather than a genuine grassroots movement. David A. Love of CNN condemned the campaign as "pure propaganda, a psychological operation" and "connected to Kremlin-linked Russian bots".[4] The website Hamilton 68, which tracks Russia's interference on U.S. elections, reported that WalkAway was "connected to Kremlin-linked Russian bots to manipulate voters into thinking the movement was more popular and active that it actually was."[5]

Abby Ohlheiser in The Washington Post claimed "There’s little actual evidence to suggest that #WalkAway represents a mass conversion of millions – or even thousands – of Democrats", and contrasted the broad appeal of true viral videos with the "Conservative Internet viral" nature of the WalkAway video.[6] ThinkProgress characterized the campaign as "a grifting operation," noting efforts by the organizers to sell dinner packages priced in the hundreds of dollars to march attendees.[7]

Slate journalist Mark Joseph Stern accused Straka of presenting royalty-free stock images from Shutterstock and claiming they were of people who had left the Democratic Party.[8] Straka has denied that any such material originated from the WalkAway campaign. Snopes posted a tweet from Stern stating that the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas shared the meme.[9]

Straka has stated that WalkAway does not receive major donations and that "everything is grassroots support from Americans who send us $5 or $100."[5] As of May 2020, the Center for Responsive Politics reported that of the $20,004 donated to WalkAway in 2020, $7,521 were contributed by nine large ($200 or more) donors—of which Straka is one.[10]

WalkAway has received $10,000 from Alex Jones and InfoWars.

I think that depends more on a certain member getting suspended again. It is why he is not participating on this thread because he cannot handle it. But you are entitled to your opinion. You just got mine.

Someone said something about the economy crumbling?
Quote:
Jobless Claims Fall to 881,000, Lowest Since Pandemic Hit

Quote:
The government said 881,000 new claims for the week ending August 29, a new low for unemployment claims since the labor market was rocked by the coronavirus pandemic.

Economists had forecast 958,000 new claims, down from the 1.006 million initially reported for the prior week. The prior week was revised up by 5,000 to 1,011,000.

Trump's economy is exceeding expectations.

@coldjoint,
That's just new claims, not total jobless. So close to a million people lost their jobs last week. That's an economy exceeding expectations?

If anyone was surprised by the nonsensical lie being pushed by The Atlantic, they shouldn’t have been.

The story, from “anonymous sources” claimed that President Donald Trump didn’t want to visit an American cemetery in France because he said dead military members “losers” and “suckers.”Anyone reading that would know it was fake and it was immediately debunked from all quarters by people willing to go on the record. But it sounded a lot more like the offensive way that the left depicts the military.

The fact that such an obviously false story would be pushed shows how desperate they are at this point. It’s also pretty clear that one big font of support for the president and the GOP in general is the military. Consequently, Democrats have to find some way to unhinge that support.

It’s 60 days before the election. Democrats and their willing acolytes in the media have already shown that they are willing to do anything they possibly can to win back the White House.
“Full Measure News” Sharyl Attkisson had a warning for everyone.

Let me explain.
Scheduled "scandals" will be rolled out regularly between now & Nov. 3.
The media, politicos, propagandists pretend it's organic & pretend to be aghast.
Most of America understands what's going on.
After all, it's not exactly a new approach in politics.

Ya know, putting paedo Joe up on the platform, with no solid policies, nor a half-decent "running mate", tells me the DNC have no actual desire to take the job of president at all seriously.

What their mission currently is, though, would be to distance themselves from reality, which appears to have been their mission from the get-go.
