@Builder,
Consider that California's popu;ation is the same as the total aggregate population of 22 othder states put togethere. Hardlh surprising that you can consider her margin of victory was her margin in California alone. So what?

There's more people there, because of the size of the place, and the fact that migrants come and go as they please. Why does that make any difference??? They're one of 51 states. Does Cali get precedence, because of the size of the state? The founding fathers knew how that would pan out, and made amends to cover that discrepancy. Didn't they?

@Builder,
California has 52 representatives in the House and 2 Senators and a few Aussies working without green cards. California manages to limp along and so far has kept the entire country from going belly up. When this country was founded there were only 13 States....all along the Eastern Seaboard. Oh, before I forget, California is one of 50 states. And migrants can't vote.

And how many votes in the electoral college?

13.3% of the population are below the poverty line, and many homeless people flock to the state, due to lax laws on boondocking.

@glitterbag,
Actually, Alaska and Texas are the largest of the 50 US states.
California joined the Union in 1850.

The California State Capitol, btw, has based the colours in the chambers like the House of Lords and House of Commons in London. (I got a private tour through the capitol by a [former] Republican Assembly member some years ago.)

@Walter Hinteler,
Western Australia accounts for 33% of the Australian continent and is bigger in size than Western Europe, four times the size of Texas, twelve times bigger than the UK, and twenty times bigger than England.

@Builder,
I know that Western Australia is the second-largest country subdivision in the world (although school time is more than 50 years ago).

You count it is the 51st US-state?

The way the Yanks were pulling gold out of the state, you'd have to think they know they own it. Exmouth listening base is crucial to their undersea explorations.

@Walter Hinteler,
Yes, Alaska and Texas are larger but much more sparsely populated. Alaska has only one congressman (but 2 senators) Texas has 36 reps in congress (also 2 senators). Every State has 2 senators but Congressmen are based on the population. For instance Wyoming and Montana each only have one representative in the US House. I've never been in the California State Capitol, but it sounds lovely

@Walter Hinteler,
So is Western Australia. Top ten beaches on the planet, and one of the gnarliest surf breaks.

My point being; if it comes down to a scrotum swinging contest. we're up for the challenge.

Justice Dept. Never Fully Examined Trump’s Ties to Russia,
Ex-Officials Say

The Justice Department secretly took steps in 2017 to narrow the investigation into Russian
election interference and any links to the Trump campaign, according to former law
enforcement officials, keeping investigators from completing an examination of Trump’s
decades-long personal and business ties to Russia.

The special counsel who finished the investigation, Robert S. Mueller III, secured three
dozen indictments and convictions of some top Trump advisers, and he produced a report
that outlined Russia’s wide-ranging operations to help get Trump elected and the president’s
efforts to impede the inquiry.

But law enforcement officials never fully investigated Trump’s own relationship with
Russia, even though some career F.B.I. counterintelligence investigators thought his ties
posed such a national security threat that they took the extraordinary step of opening an
inquiry into them. Within days, the former deputy attorney general Rod J. Rosenstein
curtailed the investigation without telling the bureau, all but ensuring it would go nowhere...

Violent Rioters Target and Execute Trump Supporter in Portland

The violence comes from Trump? Anyone want to make that assinine claim again? The hate on social media and the media had a hand in this. Local prosecutors not charging looters did this, they emboldened these assholes.

The Left is clearly all about hate and the Democrats said nothing until the polls started going toward Trump. According to the Left's logic Democrats are responsible for this death seeing Trump is responsible for Covid 19 deaths, but a much clearer connection is seen here.

Quote:
Unrest continued for the 93th night in Portland and has escalated in the targeted execution of a Trump supporter. A man was shot and killed in Portland as tensions heightened during a pro-Trump car parade that was met with resistance from BLM/Antifa rioters.

This should change a lot of minds and they will be voting Republican up and down the ticket, HT Bill.

Here's the Shockingly Small Number of People Who Died From Only the Coronavirus

Quote:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website disclosed the shockingly small number of people who died from only the Wuhan coronavirus, with no other cause of death mentioned. Hold on to your hat because here it is: out of the 161,392 deaths in the CDC data, just six percent, about 9,700 deaths, were attributed to the coronavirus alone. According to the CDC, the other 94 percent had an average of 2.6 additional conditions or causes of deaths, such as heart disease, diabetes, and sepsis.

Corona virus is not the deadly disease the media has made it out to be.

Toured Parliament only with his Private Secretary, but the Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs toured us not only through the buildings but I (nearly) shook hands with Jack of Tehran next door to the former India Office.

Are we done yet? What about the murder in Portland? Not getting as much press as Kenosha. Why do you think that is? Anyone of you world travelers want to hazard a guess?

@Walter Hinteler,
The Houses of Parliament is one of the most heavily policed areas in the country. I saw lots of armed police armed with automatic weapons. There’s multiple levels of security to pass through.

Yet that didn’t stop someone nicking Dennis Skinner’s bike.

Conservative Patriot Shot Dead During Pro-Trump Rally in Portland; ANTIFA Celebrates

Quote:
He was shot dead by an unknown criminal suspect in an altercation that seemed entirely premeditated and without any of the nuances of a violent confrontation. Watch video of the event here

Within hours of the murder, which very may well have been a political crime, mobs of ANTIFA active in downtown Portland were praising and celebrating the vicious crime.

Celebrating a murder of someone who thought differently than they did. Is this America's future? A video of that at link.
