President Trump is once again moving the goalposts on projected COVID-19 deaths in the U.S. During an interview with Fox Business that aired Thursday morning, Trump said the death toll would likely hit 100,000 or more in the U.S. before the pandemic is over. Trump has repeatedly moved up what he thinks the projected death toll in the U.S. will be. Last week, he said it could kill “anywhere from 75, 80 to 100,000 people. In April he claimed it would only be 50,000. We’ll keep an eye on this escalation.

Democrats declined to require Dr. Rick Bright, the “whistleblower” who appeared before the House on Thursday, to testify under oath as he told a subcommittee that the Trump administration had not responded adequately to the coronavirus pandemic.

Whatever it is, this Obamagate allegation seems to be ramping up this week with the help of some Senate Republicans, Trump’s conservative media allies and his top intelligence chief — and more and more, it seems to be geared at Trump’s presumptive 2020 opponent, Joe Biden.

If Trump were trying to drum up another Ukraine-like scandal against Biden, this would be how it gets started. But just like with Biden’s work in Ukraine, when it comes to unmasking Flynn, there’s very little evidence that Biden did anything untoward, much less illegal.

Modern Republicans have learned these things and know them with certainty:

1) so-called "experts" are mostly con men
2) "scientific elites" and doctors working in hospitals are not to be trusted
3) the nation will fail if Americans' greatest tradition - reliance on common sense - continues to be purposefully tarnished and eroded.

And that is why Republicans now, when faced with the need for complex surgical operations are insisting the procedures be done by Jared Kushner or any Fox News host.

Eighty-nine percent (89%) of respondents say they plan to vote for President Trump.

Only 1% said they plan to vote for Joe Biden.

A significant minority, 8%, said they plan to vote for neither Biden nor Trump.

Poll finds Trump ahead of Biden in 15 battleground states

The 15 states are Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.

Trump lead Biden in the poll across those states 52 percent to 45 percent.
