I notice not one of them will broach the topic of creepy Joe being their candidate.

It's like they're awaiting some magical happening, that produces their next iconic figurine to worship.

It's not like they didn't have almost four years to plan for this moment.

The entire Bus Ride To UTOPIA that they the Left have us on whether we want to go or not because who the **** are we to speak is an exercise in gross magical thinking, one that always goes to the same destination.....

There used to some really good hallucinogens involved, but I don't hear 'em talkin' about that, too much, hereabouts.

Just a teaspoon of (drug of choice) helps the medicine go down, etc.

The ignorant weak and shallow people of today tend to believe what they want to believe.

Reality will now being taking them out to the woodshed for a beating.

BIG PAIN always does the job of teaching if we dont die first.

Also adversity will toughen them up some.

Real adversity, not an "ism".

You may have seen coverage of the Trump crowd going after Voice of America. Politico has a piece up now that's the best reporting I've seen on what's going on.

Quote:
Voice of America director Amanda Bennett seems, at first glance, to be the perfect target for a Donald Trump attack on the mainstream media: A former Philadelphia Inquirer editor, wife of ex-Washington Post owner Donald Graham and Barack Obama appointee, Bennett has strived to maintain VOA’s independence from the White House during the Trump era.

So when Trump and his aides began attacking VOA earlier this month, stirring up anger on the right, the broadcaster and its leader seemed like another shrewdly chosen foil for rallying his populist base against Washington elites. But since then, a deeper motive has emerged: Trump is using the dispute to demand the confirmation of conservative activist and filmmaker Michael Pack, a close associate of Steve Bannon, to head the U.S. Agency for Global Media, which oversees VOA.

Amid rising tensions with China, VOA’s coverage of coronavirus has reignited conservative discontent with the outlet’s editorial line under Bennett. The White House and conservative media have seized on coverage like a video of a light show celebrating the reopening of Wuhan, the city where the virus originated, and a graphic citing official Chinese Communist Party statistics that show a lower death toll in China than in the U.S.

...In November, a group that included former Attorney General Ed Meese, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, former South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, and Justice Thomas’s wife, Ginni Thomas, signed an open letter in support of Pack.

When you think of the names in that bolded graph, think Phyllis Schlafly. These guys are very radical and they are theocrats.

Maybe it was a bi-partisan list.....I need to see the entire list of names....Politico is not a very reputable site....they are hard core lefties....often found conducting the business of Mind Molding.

@hawkeye10,
It all depends on how you measure quality doesn't it.

Being a Trump supporter you probably don't get that.

To me arrogance, ignorance, hatred, divisiveness, are not qualities i'd want.

To you they're the bedrock of everything you stand for.

Justin Trudeau Is Calling For A Ban On All "Assault-Style Weapons" Following The Rampage In Canada

I'm not sure if the NRA will describe Canada as communist or fascist now. And I suppose it doesn't really matter as clearly they haven't used the money they rake in to buy dictionaries and books. Not their thing.

Busy right now and I haven't read more than a bit of this New Yorker interview with economist Jeffrey Sachs yet but wanted to alert you guys to it. Sachs is a very smart fellow with a lot of real world experience (just check wikipedia). I'll give a quick teaser...
Quote:
Is there some leader Trump reminds you of whom you’ve worked with?

Trump is the worst political leader I have experienced in all of my professional life, which is forty years of working with governments at a high level. I’ve never seen anything like the narcissism of this man, and here we are, a country so rich in expertise, in resources, in capacities, and yet we’re watching a complete failure of a political response—with a massive loss of life—in real time. It’s quite shocking, because Trump not only does not know how to approach this issue but he blocks those who do.

@blatham,
I'm wondering if old fashioned greed might have more to do with Trump's responses to CV 19 or at least his response about the shutdown.

Trump (the Company) Asks Trump (the Administration) for Hotel Relief

Quote:
The Trump Organization was barred by Congress from seeking relief from the $500 billion rescue fund being administered by the Treasury Department, and a Trump Organization executive said on Tuesday that the company had decided not to apply for a federal loan through the Small Business Administration. The company argues that it is seeking only temporary relief from the G.S.A. while the hotel industry globally copes with an extraordinary drop in business.

Along with the broader hospitality industry, the company is expected to take a significant hit from the economic shutdown. The Trump Organization has temporarily closed its hotel overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, cut staff and services at its hotel in New York, and effectively closed its golf clubs in New Jersey and Florida. It also shuttered the Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, which at this time of year would ordinarily be acting as the “winter White House,” as the president refers to it. The Washington hotel’s bar, restaurant and spa are closed, but it is still accepting reservations.
