Talk to Democrats about that. They are the ones who used the virus as leverage.

I am pretty sure I read somewhere where you are a Christian? If so, remember the passage wherein Jesus said to one of the disciples, "what is that to thee?" (John 21:22)

Stunning Poll Finds 60 Percent of Americans Approve of Trump’s Coronavirus Response

People here and in MSM land are doing their best to drop that percentage. It does not seem to be working.
Quote:
Sixty percent is the highest approval that Trump’s coronavirus response has registered so far in any of the polls that RealClearPolitics tracks on the subject.

Trump’s overall approval rose four points to 49 percent, tying the high for his presidency, but his 44 percent disapproval makes this the highest net approval that Trump has ever enjoyed. In fact, it’s almost his only net approval; mid-February was the only other time Trump’s approval exceeded disapproval at 49-48.

November is right around the corner.

Coronavirus Unmasks The Worst People In The World

https://i1.wp.com/issuesinsights.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Barack_Obama_Joe_Biden_Chuck_Schumer_and_Nancy_Pelosi_head_toward_the_Capitol_Platform_Jan._20_2017-e1585129270637.jpg?resize=740%2C425&ssl=1
There are two of them. Joe does not even know what is going on.

We’re also seeing just how low some can go:

The Democratic leadership in Washington, led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and New York Sen. Charles Schumer, is using the pandemic to try to further a “far-left agenda that has nothing whatsoever to do with the coronavirus pandemic.” Some of the items on the progressive dream list: gifts to unions, expanded wind and solar tax credits, and a $15 federal minimum wage.

The propaganda ministry of the Democratic Party, manned by the majority of today’s “journalists,” wants to block live broadcasts of President Donald Trump’s daily media briefings from public view so it can manipulate the narrative, misrepresent what he said, and wallow in its Trump Derangement Syndrome.

South Carolina Democrat and House Majority Whip James Clyburn considers the pandemic “a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision.” He sees, no doubt, political society crushing civil society.

The media have also tried to cripple Trump by attacking his use of “Chinese virus” even though they had liberally used the same phrase earlier.

Global warming alarmists “have capitalized on the coronavirus outbreak to push climate change propaganda.” Some are “are celebrating the current economic downturn as just what is needed to avert climate catastrophe.” Others see the shutdowns across the world and are convinced that it can be done again, on a permanent basis, as a response to climate change.

Fanatics who hate the freedom provided by automobiles are using “this time of panic to permanently seize some city streets and close them to motor vehicles.”

The Los Angeles City Council, made up of 14 Democrats and a single Independent, apparently is itching to run businesses they don’t own during the economic crisis that is unfolding.

Activists have used the outbreak to gin up support for forcing Americans into a socialist health care regime.

Pelosi’s daughter apparently thinks that now is the time to publicly wish ill of a political opponent. It seems she wants COVID-19 to do what Sen. Rand Paul’s next-door-neighbor couldn’t in his 2017 blindside attack on the lawmaker — finish him.

The mayor of Champaign, Illinois, issued an executive order that allows her to “ban the sale of firearms and ammunition as well as booze” due to the “coronavirus emergency.” This happened even when there were zero confirmed cases of coronavirus in the city of 87,500.

When the crisis is over, let’s not forget those who showed how loathsome they really are.

@coldjoint,
No body on this site goers as low as you. All the opinions you try to claim as facts are like Trumps facts lies. You are the lowest individual here. I bet Ollie is really pissed you replaced him.

I just paid my taxes. You know, the taxes that Trump said would be lower. Guess what, I made less money this year than last year but paid considerably more in taxes. So much for Trump and the republicans helping a middle class tetire.

I would be willing to bet several donuts that this is only going to apply to those who have actually lost employment due to the coronavirus. In other words, those of us on Social Security and maybe private pensions will get nothing.

Sounds reasonable, though I could seriously use some extra cash.

@roger,
I heard disbursements are supposed to somehow use 2018 and 2019 tax returns to determine recipients.

Did anyone really believe Trump was going to do anything to help lower or middle class?

He will, but it will be a relatively small amount. Don't forget it's an election year.

He has helped the lower middle class. Wages have been rising. Unemployment was at all time lows.

Don't forget about efforts to lower prescription drug prices by setting price standards relative to other countries' markets.

Democrats never support lowering pharmaceutical costs or other health care costs because they want to keep the industry pumping as much growth/jobs/taxes as possible, not to mention keeping trade partners happy.

They love subsidies and mandatory insurance enrollment because that forces more money to be spent, i.e. the opposite of lowering costs.

Too bad so many people don't understand the difference between costs being lowered by subsidies and actual lowering of costs. They don't realize that if something they're paying a little for gets subsidized a lot, that those paying the subsidies are going to pass on those costs to them or someone else who will eventually find a way to pass it on to them.

@blatham,
Well there ya go. the people who actually know about public health are appalled, but for trump it's really only all about him. He needs the economy going because it's really the only thing hde can campaign on. If more people die that's fine with him if it serves his own ends. that's the way he's run his entire life. it's all just a conspiracy to thwart his own magnificence.
