@coldjoint,
No lie. It did. I did try it again, and norton blocked a malicious attack. Better check your virus protection, joint.

@MontereyJack,
I abandoned Norton when they said that they wanted to violate my civil liberties for fun, so I can't check out the page blocking on my own system, but it is possible that malicious progressives have falsely reported the site as dangerous.

McAfee doesn't have any problems with me going to the web page. Neither does Quad9.

@oralloy,
I've had to take Norton off a couple of work computers in order to get some work done. Norton was making those machines too slow to use.

It's kinda-like living in a parallel universe all day.

We're bombarded with media that we're not at all interested in, while the topic of the day, gets sidelined.

The epic **** show of dumb fuckery that is CPAC
Quote:
“Everything is really under control” proclaimed President Trump on Saturday in one of his trademark rambling addresses that freely mixes riffs demeaning political opponents with strident, right-wing rhetoric fed from a teleprompter. He went on to claim that his response to the outbreak has been “given very good grades, like an A plus plus plus” from unnamed experts. Trump also claimed that some critics of his policy to fight the pandemic “wanted to let infected people pour in our country.”

Trump received a rapturous response at the event, where red MAGA hats have become as mandatory as the khakis and blazers earnest young conservatives have always worn. CPAC is a Trump gathering now. Skeptics have been banished from the event while D-list Trump-world luminaries like Diamond and Silk and Seb Gorka are treated like stars

Available for sale to attendees. They really convey that feeling of peace and relaxation, don't they.

If Bloomberg wasn't so pathologically enraptured with himself, he could make a real difference.

Yeah, I even held out a little hope for that until he crossed the half billion mark on spending for his vanity pageant/ presidential campaign.

Inside Trump’s frantic attempts to minimize the coronavirus crisis

...“It’s complete chaos,” a senior administration official said. “Everyone is just trying to get a handle on what the [expletive] is going on.”

@snood,
Maybe he'll wise up. I don't have a lot of confidence in that however. It's probably more likely he'll change course if Elaine May, Woody Allen and Fran Lebowitz corner him at an Upper East Side cocktail party and kick the crap out of him.

once said he attacks the media “so when you write negative stories about me, no one will believe you.”

He attacks judges for much the same reason—so that when they rule against him, no one will believe, or perhaps obey, them.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani says his government has not pledged to free Taliban prisoners, as stated in a deal reached by the US and the militants.

Under the landmark agreement signed on Saturday in Qatar, 5,000 Taliban would be released in exchange for up to 1,000 government detainees by 10 March.

Mr Ghani said such a prisoner release "cannot be a prerequisite for talks", but must be part of negotiations.

The US-Taliban agreement includes a phased withdrawal of US troops.

In return, the hard-line Islamist group agreed to hold peace talks with the Afghan government.

The deal also commits the Taliban to prevent al-Qaeda and all other extremist groups from operating in the areas they control.

I’m kind of amazed at how much the Trumpster has been able to do, both good and bad. My impression is that a president can’t really do anything if most of Congress and current public 'leanings' aren’t somewhat behind his actions.
The people who are outraged and shocked by Trump just aren’t paying attention to which way the wind is blowing.

Me, I’m just enjoying the show.

@Leadfoot,
Since you like a good show; if he loses in November you can really stock up on popcorn and settle in - because then he will be vulnerable to all the indictments that he’s hiding from behind the presidential seal.

I’ll tune in to that one myself.

@snood,
Mr. Trump will not be not vulnerable to any indictments when he leaves office, and is not hiding from anything. But shame on the Democrats for abusing the law to conduct witch hunts against people who disagree with them. We really do need to abolish that party.
