Reminds me of the Nencini trial against Amanda Knox.

Good old Jez.

Quote:
Jeremy Corbyn has questioned whether the government has "credible evidence" to show Iran is behind the attacks on two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman.

Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt said responsibility "almost certainly" lies with the Iranian regime.

But the Labour leader tweeted that the UK should ease tensions in the region, not fuel a military escalation.

The explosions on Thursday came in the Gulf of Oman - a strategic waterway crucial to global energy supplies.

It is the second time in the past few weeks that tankers appear to have been attacked in the region and comes amid escalating tension between Iran and the United States.

The US military released video footage which it said proved Iran was behind the blasts - something Iran has categorically denied.

The UK Foreign Office said it was "almost certain" that a branch of the Iranian military - the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps - attacked the two tankers on 13 June, adding that "no other state or non-state actor could plausibly have been responsible".

"These latest attacks build on a pattern of destabilising Iranian behaviour and pose a serious danger to the region," Mr Hunt said.

However, in a tweet Mr Corbyn questioned that assessment.

@oralloy,
war mongering death lover. Let Trump admit he was an idiot and bow obsequiously to our allies he betrayed and try to reinstate the nuke pact with Iran, which was working, and stop pushing for an avoidable war.

Not sure where you're going with that.

Care to gloss over the millions of bombs Obama "authorised" during this tenure in the hot seat?

Biden is clearly an ephebophile creep.

I personally can't see him polling well against a spiny anteater.

@Builder,
We're actually just starting a 20 year period of Republican rule.

It's going to be a long while before the voters will contemplate having a Democratic president again.

Let them run Biden to lose the election this time. Then the left can say that they lost because they didn't nominate a whacky extremist, use that argument to nominate a whacky extremist for 2024, and then lose yet again because the voters don't like whacky extremists either.

Nothing to do with left or right.

Trump is an unscripted entry in the global scenario.

The neoliberal think tanks are still trying to figure out how they can get rid of him.

The DNC was gutted by HRC, and will take at least a decade to regroup.

Biden will (hopefully) be dead by then.

So will Pelosi.

Who replaces those useless bimbo clones is anyone's guess.

@Lash,
You still can, but he's not likely to hear you.

He's very gracious, we cheered him a few years ago at Southampton Civic Centre.

He's very nice mingled with the crowds unlike his Tory counterparts.

@izzythepush,
I’m glad there are some ballsy enough to say this—and hopefully demand rock solid proof before any hostilities.

I think our military did this in Syria, too.

The only thing our military did in Syria was help defeat Islamic State.

So it had nothing to do with the official reason, namely the use of chemical weapons by Assad outside the Syrian capital Damascus on August 21, 2013?
But why had President Trump ordered an attack on a Syrian airfield where military sources suspected that the nerve gas had been launched?

@Walter Hinteler,
I forgot about that. Yes, you're right. We retaliated for the horrific use of nerve gas against civilians.

@Builder,
And Trump, Pompeo, Bolton, Bsnnon, and all the other despicables likely be dead by then too. That's kinda what age does to you. Paricularly when your diet consists largely of cheeseburgers.

@oralloy,
I assure you the voters are contemplating a Democratic president in 2020. Apparently even Trump's internal polling show him losing. Rah for Trump's internal polling.

@oralloy,
You're sort of right. Voters don't like whacky extremists which is why Trump has never gotten majority voter support.
