@blatham,
Quote:
It will not be surprising in the slightest if his term ends not in four or in eight years, but sooner, with impeachment or removal under the 25th Amendment. The sooner Americans get used to these likelihoods, the better.

I'll leave off the fact that "doing something that makes liberals start crying" isn't an impeachable offense.

Let's focus on the fact that, after the Democrats placed Bill Clinton above the law, no one would take their calls for impeachment seriously even if there were actual impeachable offenses being committed.

That right?

Not even close. Are you even reading my posts? My assertion is that if a public figure has a policy regarding some category of people, then it is possible that someone in that category might have a reaction.

Yurp must have got an Acme Straw Man Building Kit from his Mama a few years ago and he been playing with it 24/7 ever since.

It's his "speciality." He will mischaracterize anything and everything you say. If you say "X" he'll claim you said "Y" (something stupid).

Another related favorite of his is to impute his fallacious logic to you. He'll say "You said "X" (when you actually did) and X implies Y, therefore you said Y." The problem is that Y does even remotely follow from X.

That boy, he just aint honest, I tellya. Not a speck of intellectual integrity.

If you look at the photos from all the various airport protests you will find a large proportion of the signs being carried identify Bannon as the person being protested against. I think that gets it right. Bannon believes that ISIS is capable of bring down western civilization. He also believes that secularization is fundamentally causal here and that western civ rests upon the pillar of the Catholic church. He's not a dummy (though many of his ideas are seriously weird) and one can see how he's been able to enthrall Trump who responds to bombast and self-certainty (Trump doesn't have the intellectual means to go much deeper than that).

How long before we see some patriots here and in Europe parading around a synagogue carrying signs that read, "Holocaust: Aryan Lives Matter".

The difference between Obama and Trump is dramatically shown at the outset of this video-clip. It's mirrored in this channel.

As you likely know, Trump has now reorganized so that the intelligence director and the Joint Chiefs chairman will now attend the principals' meeting only when deemed their presence appropriate. At the same time, Bannon has been elevated such that he will attend all principals' meetings.

For context:

I never sat on NSC principals comm. I sat on sidelines as observer on some issues 2 gain an understanding of decisions.

Nor did Karl Rove attend the meetings, it appears. NYT

Pence has deleted his early Tweet that bans on Muslims "offensive and unconstitutional". Sorry but history doesnt delete. You're on the hook

And as noted earlier, Michael Flynn Jr's tweet insisting this "Muslim ban" was necessary has now also gone down the hole.

Not sure when that tweet by Pence was posted but likely a fair while ago. But Pence has super powers and can turn into a fluid whenever he wants.
