Prosecutors in Manhattan have ordered the Trump inaugural committee to hand over documents relating to how the team raised and spent over $100m (£77m).

The subpoena requests a wide range of data regarding who donated to the inauguration, whether they were non-US citizens, and how the money was spent.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders told CNN on Tuesday that the order has "nothing to do with the president".

The subpoena, which has not been made public, does not allege any wrongdoing.

"We have just received a subpoena for documents," a spokeswoman for the Trump inaugural committee told US media.

"While we are still reviewing the subpoena, it is our intention to co-operate with the inquiry."

According to federal election law, foreign nationals are prohibited from donating to a US inaugural committee.

The investigation is separate from special counsel Robert Mueller's probe of possible Trump campaign ties to Russia, an investigation that has led to several indictments and guilty pleas.

The subpoena from the Manhattan District Attorney's Office comes grew out of the campaign finance prosecution of Michael Cohen, President Trump's ex-personal lawyer.

The investigation into Cohen, who is due to begin a prison sentence next month after implicating Mr Trump, arose from a referral from Mr Mueller's team to New York prosecutors.

According to ABC News, prosecutors are also requesting information about who attended inaugural events as Mr Trump was sworn into office in January 2017 and whether they were promised photo-ops with the president-elect, ABC News reports.

Tom Barrack Jr, a real-estate developer and close friend of the president who served as chairman of the inaugural committee, is not named in the documents.

The only man named is Imaad Zuberi, a former fundraiser for Democrats Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton whose company gave $900,000 to the committee.

A spokesman for Mr Zuberi said he had given "generously and directly" to the inaugural committee, but added that many others donated "substantially more".

According to the Wall Street Journal, Mr Zuberi had several conversations with Cohen about access to inaugural events.

In 2014, Mr Zuberi registered as a lobbyist for Sri Lanka.

A Month of Multiculturalism in Britain: January 2019

No worries about your own miserable country? Not that we aren't touched by your concern, but since you cannot take care of your own your advice is useless.

The Guardian reported that hundreds, and possibly thousands, of young girls in Britain are being subjected to so-called breast-ironing, an African practice whereby mothers or grandmothers use a hot stone to massage across the breast repeatedly in order to "break the tissue" and slow its growth. The objective is to stop unwanted male attention

See what the women in your country are doing to avoid being raped. Are you proud of that? I bet you are.

January 28. Comedian Russell Howard revealed that the BBC required him to re-record a joke about the Islamic State in case it offended the jihadi group. Speaking about freedom of speech on Sky One's "The Russell Howard Hour," he recalled filming a segment for the BBC on the 2015 jihadi attacks in Paris. Howard said about ISIS, "they're not Muslims, they're terrorists" — a remark which drew cheers from the studio audience during filming. "At the end of filming, the BBC lost their minds, saying 'You need to re-record it! You need to say ISIS aren't *devout* Muslims,'" he recalled. "I was like, 'Are you worried we are going to offend ISIS? Are they going to write in?'"

Just plain cowardice.

Trump is igniting a perilous new nuclear arms race

Lets say two fellows from a mob decide together they are going to go straight, they shake on it, trusting each other to keep their word. One fellow goes back on his word, what does the other fellow do, go back on his word too? This is basically what Trump is doing, he is reopening the Arms race to nuclear war. I don't know why anyone supports this guy.

I am trying to decide whether to watch the State of Union tonight. I haven't watched a speech yet from Trump and I kinda hate to break my record. On the other hand, Pelosi is going to be sitting behind him.

An Egyptian parliamentary committee has given initial approval to a proposal to amend the constitution in a way that would extend President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi's time in office, state media say.

Mr Sisi is due to stand down in 2022, when his second four-year term ends.

But a proposal from the majority bloc in parliament would lengthen future presidential terms to six years and let Mr Sisi stand for another two terms.

If approved by two-thirds of MPs, the changes would be put to a referendum.

In 2013, Mr Sisi led the military's overthrow of Egypt's first democratically elected president, Mohammed Morsi, following protests against his rule.

An exploding vaporiser pen resulted in the death of a 24-year-old Texas man, a post-mortem examination has ruled.

The pen's battery blew up when William Brown tried to use it, sending shards of metal into his face and neck and severing an artery.

He died two days later in hospital of a stroke, in what is at least the second such death in the US.

Malfunctioning e-cigarette batteries have caused hundreds to thousands of similar injuries, US reports say.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office found on Tuesday that shrapnel from the vape pen's exploding battery impacted Mr Brown's skull, severed his carotid artery and ultimately caused his death on 29 January.

The incident took place in the parking lot of a vape shop in Fort Worth, Texas on 27 January.

Mr Brown had visited the shop to seek help using a Mechanical Mod style pen - a model known to have issues, a local CBS News affiliate reported.

He attempted to use the pen in the car when the battery exploded with enough force to melt plastic in the vehicle and fling metal debris into Mr Brown's face.

The owners of the shop called an ambulance after seeing Mr Brown bleeding in the parking lot.

"When they x-rayed him, they found the stem, the metal embedded to where the blood flows up to the brain," Mr Brown's grandmother, Alice Brown, told WFAA News.

Doctors were apparently unable to remove the metal surgically. Mr Brown was placed in an induced coma, but eventually passed away.

Mrs Brown, who raised Mr Brown, told the Star Telegram her grandson was just weeks away from his 25th birthday.

"It just hurts so bad. Now he'll never see that birthday. It's a waste of the things he could have accomplished."

The 24-year-old was a licensed electrician and not a regular smoker - he had been testing out the pen for the first time, his grandmother said.

She hopes his death gives others pause before trying an e-cigarette.

"If anything, I hope it stops someone," she said. "I don't know how many more people will have to die."

Fairness is un-American, god dam it! (It's refreshing, isn't it, to see conservatism's motto spelled out so clearly).

And notice in the image another Fox slag of AOC. It is interesting to note that AOC is a daily target now gaining, it seems, much more attention there than Bernie Sanders gets.

Four Trump Trips To Mar-A-Lago Cost Taxpayers $13.6M, New Gov’t Report Finds

These trips occurred over 15 total days, but Trump has spent 84 total days at Mar-a-Lago in his presidency so far, including three days this past weekend. The costs can’t be directly extrapolated since travel days are significantly more expensive, but if these numbers carried through the government would have spent roughly $77 million total for Trump’s frequent Mar-a-Lago visits.
The modern GOP is one **** of a mess.

The question I see is this: Is democracy supposed to always be the end all and be all of everything or should there come a point at which the people who actually give a rat's ass about country should take matters into their own hands. Particularly with Soros and other globalists pulling out every possible stop to influence elections in places like France or Sweden, it may never be possible for the real people there to vote their way out of the **** they're in.
