Sounds like a good enough excuse to me! Very Happy
For the purposes of image-management, one who has been caught up and found guilty in such a matter must make a show of contrition. And likewise, re image-management for that other party who has made the indictment, it is salutary to appear the exemplar of Jesusian forgiveness.

PS...and now for some reason I am wondering what the old and new testaments would read like if the translation was augmented with emojis.

You are to wash the internal organs and the legs with water, and the priest is to burn all of it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD. Shocked

It both unfair and mean to confused Trump supporters with the facts that is why Fox seldom does so.

I'm always struck by people's lack of patience with regard to political objectives and the actual pace of change.
Yes. History/civics education could be improved upon.

And I think there's often a generational conflict (inevitable) in this. Right now we're seeing a tension on the left between those of us who advocate strategies of incrementalism and those who believe their passions and certainties can steamroll anything standing in opposition and do so with little delay. That's a bit of a caricature but you'll get my drift.

Tenor sax. I hope it's smokey, late night, my girl has gone sax rather than left right Clemson U! stuff.

@McGentrix,
Do some research on your own.

Here I'll help you get started. I can't believe you've remained ignorant on this rather important constitutional question.

Trump’s emoluments headache is poised to get a whole lot worse

Then you should be able list every statement that was untrue. That would be a lot more effective than just tossing out comments from the peanut gallery.

Law enforcement agrees: The media’s border denialism is absurd

I guess the Democrats are going to be continuing Obama's war on law enforcement. Why would anyone not heed these warnings from professionals?
It is insane to claim they are racists, but it is what is claimed for no reason other than using the label to demean them and stigmatize them.

This is transparency, this is fact, not opinion. There is no doubt in my mind these people have the best handle on his serious problem, why Democrats disrespect them and the Americans dying from this crap is telling. Time for some introspection by this anti-American party.

In The United States Most MS-13 Members Are American Citizens Or Legal Residents

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently carried out two large-scale operations targeting many gangs, including MS-13 and others, such as the Bloods.

According to May 12 reports, ICE arrested 1,378 individuals, of which 933 were U.S. citizens and just over 1,000 were confirmed to be a gang member or gang-affiliated.

A March 2016 operation of similar size netted 1,133 individuals, of which 894 were U.S. citizens. This means that out of some 2,500 individuals caught in these two major operations, 1,800, or 70 percent, were U.S. Citizens.

MS-13 has become a major scapegoat for Donald Trump and right-wing media in rationalizing harsh immigration policies. The Trump administration has referred to MS-13 gang members as “animals” who “infest” the United States—rhetoric that, as the Washington Post’s Greg Sargent (5/25/18) noted, “slaps the dehumanizing slur on the least sympathetic subgroup and then conflates that subgroup with the larger group that is the real target.”

This scapegoating seems to have worked: According to a recent HuffPost/YouGov survey, over 85 percent of Trump voters believe that MS-13 is a major threat to the United States as a whole. This level of anxiety seems misplaced, considering that even the Justice Department claims MS-13 has only about 10,000 members in the US.

But what Trump’s racist rhetoric and fearmongering media alike ignore is that MS-13 is partially a product of US policy. The gang was actually founded in the Pico Union neighborhood of Los Angeles in the early 1980s, by Salvadoran immigrants and refugees from its civil war. Its subsequent growth from a small street gang in the US to a transnational criminal organization based out of the Northern Triangle provides an illuminating case study of how US foreign policy choices can backfire spectacularly.

Has anyone seen credible reporting on the recent Women's March = antisemitism story?

I'm going to dig into this a bit but off the top I have to say I am highly skeptical because the Women's March phenomenon has been incredibly successful in getting women active in politics, to the serious detriment of the GOP. As such, it will be (to 100% certainty) targeted in a manner designed to foment internal dissatisfaction, turmoil and weakening of the movement.

The right has been "smart" in the ways it has turned the left's values, ideas and terminology into weapons to attack the left. For example, as a response to the growing national consensus that disadvantaged minorities deserved institutional arrangements that would give them a leg up (ie affirmative action) the right set out on a propaganda campaign to paint such legislation as an assault on the civil rights of whites, disadvantaging them. Or how the Bush admin and supporters described the goal of the Iraq war as a humanitarian endeavor rather than (as Greenspan later admitted) "all about oil".

So if anyone sees good reporting on this, please let me know. I'll get back with what I can find.

@blatham,
One of the major marches in CA was cancelled because there were to many white women signed up for the march... That's right, too many white woman at a woman's march, so it has to be cancelled. Now we have entered the area where the left begins to eat itself.
