Nikki Haley goes out with a bang: US, Israel withdraw from ‘cesspool’ UN agency

That is how you stand with an ally. The UN is a tool for Islamists and dictators.
It only exists to whitewash crimes against all kinds of humanity.

Coal will work if we put particles in the upper atmosphere to offset warming.

We're going to need to make up shortfalls in renewables somehow. Nuclear or fossil fuel. Make your choice.

What about better insulation?

If there are coolers now that can keep ice frozen for two weeks without power, it must be possible to design a refrigerator/freezer that can stay cold all night while the sun isn't shining.

Of course, people would have to leave their refrigerators shut at night, but that would be good for public health and obesity reduction.

It is Islam and those who have decided to placate this killer of people and cultures because they want to be eaten last. Jews are expendable to those leaders, they won't tell you that, but they really do not need to their diplomacy makes it quite clear.

Ronna McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee who is also Mr. Romney’s niece, has defended Mr. Trump
against her uncle’s critiques.

There are other types out there, you know. Solar, wind, hydro or geothermal comes to mind.

@hightor,
You think Romney is exempt from political sideshows? If people want to make an issue of this Trump will play.

‘Screw You America, my comeback career comes first’

Romney’s one vote is a big fat nothing compared to the 63 million votes that got Trump elected.

Lord, give us a break from the results of opportunist politicians getting elected from safe seats!

Backstabbing is always best when it comes with an element of surprise. But it should be no surprise that many now know what a sissy trying to look like a bully really looks like.

Mitt Romney, more appropriately known to many outside of Utah as Mittens, the Maroon.

The kind of politician who wants to make patriots scream, knowing that he’s a silent scream himself as CNN’s Candy Crowley once so aptly proved when she infamously got away with covering up for Obama while moderating that year’s presidential debate with doormat Romney.

Utah’s Romney is the RINO who gifted America with the 2012 re-election of President Barack Hussein Obama.

The holier-than-thou Mitt doesn’t swear outright, and during the cold season always sneezes into his own hanky. But what he is now saying even Glenn Beck slobbering couldn’t possibly save him: ‘Screw You America, my comeback career comes first’.

If Utah won’t recall him, America will NEVER forget.

@coldjoint,
Mitt is blessed to be in the land of the free where he can spout off about whatever will get him the most, best press. I am sure the Democrats in the Senate will be happy to have him on their side.

At least we were blessed not to have that RINO ever become President. To think I supported him once.

That can help. But ultimately we'll need to make up the shortfall.

If you don't want to use clean, safe nuclear power, I'm fine with using fossil fuels.

Coal or fracked natural gas. What's your preference?

Renewables will not be able to make up the shortfall in renewables.

That's leftist code-speak for "shrink the US economy".

If you want to upgrade insulation in houses, that's one thing. But don't expect Americans to go without when conservation and renewables can't meet demand.

Well, the U.S. building project spent $7.6B so far, then it needed another $48 BILLION more, so the project was scrapped. Don't you think we have cheaper alternatives now?
High-burnup TRISO pellets might have been cheaper than normal reprocessing if Obama hadn't derailed progress on the Next Generation Nuclear Plant.

Of course, we'd have to store the spent pellets in Yucca Mountain. But presumably a high-burnup pellet would have used up most of its heavy isotopes. And whatever was left inside the pellets would likely stay inside them.

Don't act all surprised. He bragged about it in West Virginia (of all places). He was worth millions by the time he was 8, he attended exclusive private schools, he hobnobbed with the cream of NY high society (including Bill and Hillary), he's got houses, properties, and businesses around the world, and he managed to accomplish all because he was born with a silver spoon in his ass. Pretty much checks all the boxes:

We're off grid for electricity. Our fridge/freezer has genuine spray-foam insulation, (as opposed to loose fill) and the bottom freezer section has 70 mm thick walls and door, so it is very efficient in design. Uses just 4 amps at 27 volts, but only when running.

It's 210 litres capacity, so plenty big enough for two of us, though I have a 41 litre portable fridge as well, in case we want some beer, or buy lots of fruit.

Surprisingly easy to establish an off-grid power supply. The technology is improving bigtime. Can run air conditioning all day when the sun is shining, and set it to switch off about midnight.
