Michael Cohen attorney Lanny Davis is on the payroll of a Putin ally

Oh oh!

Quote:
Does Lanny Davis have a collusion problem?

Lanny Davis, the longtime Clinton confidant who is also the attorney for former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, is on the payroll of a pro-Moscow Ukrainian oligarch with direct ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) records reviewed by Conservative Review, Davis is an active registered foreign agent for Ukrainian billionaire Dmytro Firtash. A review of his social media records shows that Davis has never tweeted about his Ukrainian client, seemingly preferring to advocate quietly for Firtash, who faces enormous legal issues in courtrooms across the world.

Firtash’s ties to Putin have been exposed in several investigate reports. Moreover, the Ukrainian’s deeply corrupt business practices have put him on the radar of U.S. authorities, who are currently demanding his extradition to Chicago to face bribery charges.

More collusion, but not by Trump.

So we can expect a long sentence for Hillary when that one comes home to roost, eh?

If the USA was a rule of law country you might, McG, but then you have to deal with Bush, Bush, Obama, Bill Clinton, Cheney, Rumsfeld, ... .

The list of US war criminals, terrorists, rapists, baby killers [Albright, Kissinger for example], ... is long indeed.

Twenty years ago all you conservatives were screaming that "character matters" and indeed, mostly that is all that does matter. Now you're all screaming, (with some admirable exceptions), that character doesn't matter when it came to Trump.

Don't feel bad, though, Trump will be going down for a variety of reasons, most of them dealing with national security. So you'll have nothing to cry to about when the fall occurs, although you will. Daily.

Actually, after Impeachment, none of them will have voted for tRump. They will all be "Never Trumpers" from the get go!

Does a person who supports the war crimes, illegal invasions, terrorism, etc of their country qualify as having good character?

@maporsche,
WaPo: Trump sought his lawyers’ advice weeks ago on possibility of pardoning Manafort, Giuliani says
Quote:
President Trump asked his lawyers for their advice on the possibility of pardoning his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort several weeks ago, his lawyer said Thursday.

The subject of pardoning Manafort came up while he was on trial for multiple counts of bank fraud and tax evasion and the president was expressing his anger at how federal prosecutors had “beat up” and mistreated Manafort, Trump attorney Rudolph Giuliani said in an interview.

Trump’s lawyers counseled the president against the idea, saying Trump should at least wait until special counsel Robert S. Mueller III has concluded his investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election. Giuliani said the president agreed and did not push the issue further.

Giuliani said Trump was simply seeking advice as he complained about Manafort’s criminal exposure on charges unrelated to his work on Trump’s campaign. Giuliani said he and fellow Trump attorney Jay Sekulow advised waiting to see whether Mueller delivers a damning report that accuses the president of trying to block a federal probe of his campaign’s contacts with Russians. Mueller’s findings are supposed to be provided in a report to the Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein, who would then decide whether any evidence of wrongdoing was serious enough that it should be presented to Congress to consider for impeachment proceedings.

“We told him he should wait until all the investigations are over,” Giuliani said of their discussion. “This [Special Counsel] case is a strange case. It won’t be decided by a jury. It will decided by the Justice Department and Congress and ultimately the American people. You have to be sensitive to public optics.”

“He said yes,” Giuliani said. “He agreed with us.”

Trump has repeatedly decried the government’s treatment of Manafort — who a jury found guilty Tuesday on tax- and bank-fraud charges. On Wednesday, the president told reporters that Manafort was a “good man” and that he felt sorry for him.

Giuliani said it was that sentiment that started the conversation.

“He feels Manafort has been mistreated. Nobody in a case like this get’s raided in the middle of the night, put in solitary confinement,” Giuliani said. “They tried to crack him and it didn’t work. Over the last two to three weeks, he’s expressed anger and frustration about how he’s been treated.”

The greatest war criminals, terrorists, ... the world has ever known want to try others for things they excel at.

It's positively kafkaesque.

You do know that impeachment means nothing, don't you?
All that is is an accusation, an indictment.
A president does not get removed from office for being impeached.

He's one huge step closer to being removed.

Moreover, impeachment is preceded by various committee hearings, where the evidence is shown to the public what the President has done. Every day for several weeks. Mueller has not leaked what he's doing, so most people do not know the full extent of the president's deeds and misdeeds.

If, after the midterms the House is Democratic and the Senate either still Republican or just a few seats short of a Republican majority, Trump is still not safe. The information that emerges in House investigation might cause enough of a national uproar that even the staunch Republican supporters of Trump might find it impossible to support him.

It's not just a case of the Senate is more than a third Republican, so Trump will not be convicted. What emerges from Mueller's report and the House investigations will have much to do with whether Trump remains in office.

Hee hee. So the way you look at it, you're worried that the FBI might be interfering with Trump selling the country out to the Russians and want them to suffer for it. Okay, at least you told us where you stand.

So you're on record as saying the problem with this country is the Zionist Globalist Imperialist Rothschild New World Order. With strong posting like that you might make it as a guest on Trump's new show on the RT network, coming up shortly after he absconds to Russia to escape various Federal and State prosecutions.

Heck, you might make it onto the premiere episode.
