@joannawood1245,
Im at almost 186 (I weigh myself twice a week at the exact same time and buck naked) . Im regaining MUSCLE TONE and thats important to my exercise. I was at the U yesterday for a "DArwin Day" conference I parked way down by the med school (which is about 3 miles south of the whole campus). I walked briskly to the Library Conf center and did it in just under 3/4 hour . It was very windy and cold and it was a brisk walk but last year I would NOT have made that rate and I prolly would have bagged out halfway there.

I notice now my walking pace has gotten almost as good as I was able in my " mountain exploration" days. Ive still got work to do but the weight plateau I hit in December is letting loose abit. I want to lose about 5 mor pounds and try to maintain that level.

Im able to wear a 34 " waist pant,NOW my only problem is how do I get rid of my "Fatman" pants. I was up to a 42 waist

@farmerman,
In 3 months, without weighing myself until after that time, I discovered I lost 10 pounds doing the vlchf (very low carb, high fat) method of eating.

Lot's of leafy and most other above ground veggies (no other carbs other than that), 70% of calories from fat, moderate protein.

I'll be going to the doctor in April, so I'll see what my weights done by then.

Most importantly, my blood glucose is very much under control.

yeah....yay....I'm quite tired of bacon, if you can believe it.

My biggest turn on is vegetables stir fried in butter.

Tonight is shrimp, and mushroom & spinach sauteed in Kerry Gold. Probably some tomatos with olive oil too.

Munching on pork rinds right now.

@cicerone imposter,
They are actually pretty hard to find ci.

You'd think in Texas I'd be tripping over bags of them.

Some of them can get pretty pricey too. But they are a great alternative to chips (not that I really ate many chips) when you want something crunchy.

If you ever get a chance to try the brand EPIC, their pork cracklin's go for it. They are bacon maple flavored. Not overpowering, and after you eat maybe 3 or 4 your tastebuds kind of deaden to the taste. So, you only eat a few at a time.

@chai2,
We have some Hispanic stores in our area that might carry them. Gotta check it out.

@beingchinmay,
Don't ever go on a diet; it never works. The trick is to eat small meals throughout the day that includes more veggies and fruits, and drink lots of water.

@liyagrey,
yep yep, and walk the 10000 steps. Thats fairly easy if you get one of those watch pedometers.
I do the small meals interspersed with (now) only 2 days a week hen Ill eat thoe "Lean Cuisine" type meals .
ALSO, dont do any snacking in the evening. If you must, at grapes or an orange. Its kara kara season n they are good.

@cicerone imposter,
The yar after we met I bgan to balloon up. I was dealing with selling my business and investing , and I was doing some building in few areas. We also went through a tragedy. I kinda foofed out of shape and was up to 240 and it was all flab. I noticed I was shrinking a bit . I used to be like 6'1" and Im like 5'11.5" now so shorter package, more avoirdupois , I was getting kinda disgusting.

If you want to lose weight you should start by avoiding sugar and starch. A low-carb diet reduces your hunger and makes it easier to eat less. Few weight loss tips should be followed.
Choose a low-carb diet
Eat when hungry
Eat real food
Eat only when hungry
Measure your progress wisely
Be persistent
Women: Avoid fruit
Men: Avoid beer
Avoid artificial sweeteners
Review any medications
Stress less, sleep more
Eat less of dairy products and nuts
