I am not basing my vote on Hillary's character, or even on Trump's character (although I feel that Trump's character is far worse and that this does matter).
I see this election as a stark choice on the future direction of the country. Trump represents anger, fear and the idea that the institutions that benefit White people and structures at the expense of minority groups should be buttressed.
Hillary (for all of her flaws) will continue to support diversity, respect minority groups and opinions, and speak for equality. She won't be perfect, of course. But she will represent these ideas that Trump attacks.
The place I least like the idea of a Hillary administration is foreign policy. She is not willing to stand up to Israel and she is overly willing to insert American military power into international conflicts. But even there she is far better than Trump.
I don't like Hillary as a person. As a president she will be capable and move us forward with hope and openness (rather than anger and fear) and that is what is important to me.
That is why I am voting for Hillary.
