Back to topic: I wince when a charismatic accomplished woman is denigrated because of her lack of beauty. There's such a double standard here. In men, signs of aging etc are seen as distinguishing features. The only guy I've ever seen called ugly is Joe Torre, the Yanks skipper, and I gotta say...they're right.

Well, I'm not gonna jump on the "looks' thing, since I think everyone should be looked at for their spirit rather than their outward appearance.

Panzade's last post makes my point. Think of Marty Feldman! Difficult to look at, but so great to see.
