In my impression, George Washington and Alexander Hamilton, both founding fathers, are big shots among signers of the Declaration of Independence.
Yet today when I searched in
Signers of the Declaration of Independence, I found that both are not there.
I vaguely remember that George Washington was busy in directing the war at the time of signing so he wasn't possible to sign the declaration. The same reason applies to Hamilton, since he was Washington's aide de camp.
