Of course it means nothing to you Freeduck. You'll believe whatever lies Moore feeds that left because he speaks against Bush. When Moore is involved, the truth become irrelevant.

Perhaps someone can enlighten me:

here (and that's not only in Germany, but in most European countries), you became a member of a party, when
- signing in for membership,
- paying your regular membership fee.

You can either leave this party or get excluded.

A commssioner in the EU was formerly in quite a high position in the FDP (German liberals, which means 'more rightish' in Europe). He then became a member of the SPD (Socialist-Democrats).
I'm sure, someone could present his FDP-memberbook from the 70's ....

McG, I'm disappointed in you on this one. Moore may well be a liar, but if you want me to believe that you need to point out an instance where he's lied. This one you're harping on isn't cutting the mustard.

Did you really say that? Shocked

You need me to point out an instance in which Moore lied?!

It's like we live in different worlds and communicating through an intergalactic internet.... [mutters]needs me to point out an instance[/mutters]

It means nothing to me. For all I know, I may still be registered in Virginia and Florida, but I don't live there and I don't vote there. If you asked me where I was registered to vote I would say this state. If you asked me which party I would tell you whatever I was registered as in this state. For me, it has always been independent, but it might well change to Democrat in the future in which case you might be able to pull a voter registration card from Florida for 1992 that says I am not in fact a Democrat. Let it go already.

That makes a lot of sense.

Lets put it this way, can Micheal Moore vote in New York under his register democrat ticket?

Yes. The one you are harping on can easily be explained by the existence of the past and present tense in the English language. I'm perfectly willing to believe he's a liar, but you need to give me something that is a little clearer. I'll wait patiently...

Did you even read the link I posted? He last voted, as a Democrat in New York State in 2001. beyween 1992 and 2001, he voted, as a Democrat, in 7 elections. Why is it so hard to see he is a liar, a fraud, and a poopy-head?

Sorry, McG, I didn't see the link -- it was dwarfed by the voter card.

The crux of it is that Michael Moore is a Democrat -- though I don't know if that qualifies him as a member of the Democratic party. And he seems to be trying to downplay that fact.

I'm not buying the thing about multiple voter registrations -- it doesn't matter unless he actually votes in both places.

Besides that, McG, what FreeDuck asked, again a stupid question:

aren't elections free AND secret in the USA? (Would be a really crime here, if my data could be posted openly.)

You would think so, Walter. I think the idea is that the only thing that is secret is who you actually voted for. You can make assumptions based on a person's affiliation...

You're not buying it... I'm not surprised.

It's merely drop in the bucket that over flows with Moores lies that liberals seem content to drink from.

No I didn't go to the link you posted. Sometimes I go to links and sometimes I don't.

Anyway, I am trying to make sense of it all. (honestly)

He is registered as late as 2001 in NY but it only says "democratic" in 1992.

Is he registered now in NY? If so how can he be registered in two different states? Is that legal? Can he vote two or three times in different states?

If not then the way I honestly see it is that Micheal Moore was a registered democrat in 1992 in New York but was just registered the rest of the years up to 2001. He is now a self proclaimed Independant in Michigan?.

Having said all that what does it matter? He did not lie.

That's not how it works Revel. You declare your party when you register in NYS. I registered Republican in 1986, I am still a registered Republican. You don't have to keep registering every year unless you move. Moore has a permanent residence in NYC which allows him to keep an active registration in the NYS voter logs.

I haven't seen his voting record in Michigan. I do not even know if he has ever voted in Michigan.

Again, where did this info come from (besides the link)? How was it obtained? How come we are supposed to believe this document, but not the Rather documents? The SwiftBoat documents, but not the Military records?

Get it? It's not just a liberal thing.

And, again, are these records easily obtainable by anyone for anyone? Can I request your voting registration and history from the New York voter registration office?
