@cicerone imposter,
Khan is nothing more than a prostitute... a political Shill... a real piece of **** selling the memory of his dead hero son for political gain.

@giujohn,
What is he gaining? Why do you assume his motives are bad? Is it not possible he thinks he is working to keep a dangerous man out of the white house and to get the most qualified person in?

@snood,
I'm a veteran I talk to Veterans every day there's a general consensus you don't involve the memory of your dead Hero son in politics. And I'm sure that dead hero officer would agree.

@maporsche,
guijohn will never "get it." We memorialize veterans and those who gave their life for this country. That's the reason why there are memorials in Washington DC on the capital mall. What does he think Memorial Day is all about?

Bullshit. I'm a veteran. Don't try to pretend all veterans would agree with your ugly criticism of the Khans.

@giujohn,
Make that two. As a veteran, I find both Trump's xenophobia, disdain for the military and gross ignorance of foreign policy distasteful. I'm sure Mr. Kahn is doing a good job representing his son.

Absolutely no one is qualified to have an opinion on how a father honors his deceased son. Nor are they qualified to have an opinion on how an individual channels their grief or how that grief is managed.

You're disgusting.

@maporsche,
What was disgusting was that disingenuous display of grief for the sake of political expediency on behalf of the criminal Hillary by an opportunist seeking 15 minutes of fame.

Veterans and Trump. Definitely not a consistent feeling in that group.

We've got quite a collection of American veterans posting at A2k. A few are declared Trump supporters. More aren't.

I'm not surprised in this Bastion of bleeding heart liberal brainwashed leftists. Most active duty military and Veterans as well as police officers I talk to are definitely not in favor of Hillary Clinton being in control of the military or anything else in this country.

@roger,
I prefer to be a bleeding heart liberal over a republican, racial bigot, and voter suppressor. However, I'm neither. I'm an Independent.

@giujohn,
What is your evidence for this? Surely you don't think that PUBLICLY disparaging someone with your kind of vitriol without due evidence is ok?

So, other than your own feelings, which you are certainly entitled to, what is your evidence for thinking this about Mr. Khan? Do you have some as yet unreleased video of him rubbing his hands together with some Disney villains where he talks about how he wishes to ruin an innocent and moral man's political career - Trump? and he will do anything to achieve this, even to the ruination of the honour of his dead son?

Perhaps a paper or email he wrote to someone explaining the benefits of selling deceased son's for **dirty** political gain?

Just what is your evidence?

@giujohn,
So when your first statement about military members not talking about their sons is shattered, you then chalk it down to 'bleeding heart liberals'.

That's real intellectual. A 'bastion' of scientific, rational thinking that solves your first statements dilemma. People are not so typically camped as you make them to be. The media, our favourite friend, presents this, but most people are not so polarized in their behaviour. Only on TV and only because they view the media uncritically.

They see a group of people burning flags and now, all liberals want flags burned. Or they assume that their polling of the people they know is as accurate as a properly conducted scientific poll..

Now my unofficial poll: I have deeply conservative friends who run the gamut of beliefs. From traditional, stereotyped conservative values to liberal values that we laugh about because we know we don't fit into a Media frame..

Its ok to have dissonance. Its ok that things aren't black and white. Don't worry about having to have more people 'on your side' so that if you don't, then you spout things like 'oh, if that's not the case, they MUST be all <fill in the stereotyped blank>

Since he has to chosen to speak of veterans, no, I didn't know we were a bastion of bleeding heart liberal brainwashed leftists.
