"We," during WWII, excluded Japanese-Americans.

But then again they didn't count, did they.

If the US suffers another big terrorist strike, you can bet that Muslim-Americans will be excluded from "we."

As it is now, Muslim-Americans are a highly suspect part of "we."

But then again, they're starting not to count.

I'm content to stick with the people who don't think identifying and arresting terrorists is somehow interfering with our freedoms. And I've decided we're better off with people who make me feel that I'm in less danger of the local shopping mall going BOOM when I'm in it, and who know that our softer and more politically correct side won't particularly impress Al Qaida.

I'll stick with the people who put the most importance on preserving and strengthening the traditional American family, who don't consider faith based charities as subversive. We can't turn the clock back to the Cleaver family, but we don't have to lose it all either.

And even if Kerry is elected which I think will put all that at more risk, I'll stay put.

The way I see if (when) Bush is elected (not reelected) after 4 more years of everything "going to get better just around the corner" the people will surely have had enough and will elect a democrat or at least someone with an ounce of sense.

In the meantime I will just blot out the whole thing in my mind and "think of England."

Which is sadly no better unless they get rid of their own nut.

Fox:

Just keep following the "Flock".

I'll stick to those who believe that Civil Liberties need not suffer in the name of "Security", that global consensus is better than Imperial "Pre-emption", that religious liberty can only come when church and state are separate, and that maybe even the Cleavers need to evolve a bit.

And I know how to fight for it

One thing will rid us of Bush: an accurate count of votes.

Each to his own NeoGuin, but I prefer my 'flock' to your 'flock' as I believe my flock is actually the one that has the best track record on preserving civil liberties as well as providing for the national security.

In the end, when America finally becomes a train wreck.....as all great civilizations eventually do.....the cause of the wreck will be the same as it's always been...."Loose nut behind the steering wheel".......

For those who think about leaving the country if, say, Hillary eventually wins, you'd better be sure what country you move to. Some of them have already elected (and survived) female leaders. And may do so again.

Not, of course, that that's what you're so afraid of...
