She must've thought I was a prostitute or a porn actress (LOL) from my last post.

Good luck with it, Lash!

Actually, it is kind of fun getting to tell some of these stories.

Thing is, if you try to talk with friends who are not in the area, they can't bear it. I mean - the corrections stories are often kind of funny - but the dead babies and rape and child abuse and (now that I really specialise in trauma therapy, and with sexual abuse - which overlaps, of course, and the attachment therapy - where people's stories are truly horrendous) the general stuff that we work with just horrifies people - and it is like you are traumatising them - to no good effect. Sometimes they say to tell them, that they never hear about my work - but a couple of minutes, and it is too much.

I mean, we talk about stuff at work - and a few of my dearest friends do the same work - so they really understand - but we all do contain so much, eh?

It's funny - the crisis stuff, that some of us have been talking about - is kind of hard, but also often kind of funny, and much easier to talk about than the deep intensity of therapy....that kind of happens in such a special, deep, quiet space that it is hard to talk about.

It is great when you co-work, because then someone else has really been there with you, and the ntensity - especially of the attachment work, which is truly spooky, because you are containing so much intense emotion - it is a roller coaster.

I could never do the crisis stuff again - (I am clinging to the rope on the stuff I am doing now, too) - but it is really rewarding - and the camaraderie is great! And the black humour....

Yes, I miss the camaraderie. Noting like being through hell together and coming out the other side, somehow.

It's something like men in a foxhole, or cops have.

Some unspoken, deep bond... Only you get each others' sick humour--

The language at our weekly meetings. Cheney would blush.

This is how I got my potty mouth.

I got my potty mouth from med lab work. I try to temper my natural use of it. It only comes out when someone who highly disapproves - such as my cousin - is around. Some little door in my vestigial potty mouth verbal cabinet just slides open without warning. I just get too descriptive.

My boss has slipped a few cogs lately. He is hiring a new manager and installing cameras with audio in the offices and at the entrance.

They're gonna put me in the movies
They're gonna make a big star out of me ...

The boss man has lost it. He may well empty out the place without meaning to.
