My father is currently receiving hospice. Since March he refuses food and my mom has only been able to get a boost in him with his meds in the morning. His body has broken down all of his muscle. The last time the nurse measured his arm it was 18cm. However the nurse states that his vitals are perfect. I was wondering if anyone knew how long you can survive with only intaking one boost a day? He has been Dx with failure to thrive. On top of that he has been in hospice for the past 8 months due to parkinsons, rheumatoid arthritis, and he has had several mini strokes.
@Kim V,
Talk with his medical team about getting a nutritionist assigned to your father's case.
