courage for Christie to turn against Trump
now, exactly when Trump's campaign is imploding, and the tide of public opinion is clearly turning against him?
I don't.
It would have taken courage for him to refuse to endorse him from the start. After all, during the primary campaign, Christie was one of Trump's most vocal detractors. Then after Trump won, Christie conveniently pretended to forget about all the terrible things he had said for several months about Trump, for a chance to get a position in his cabinet. He wanted badly to be VP and by some accounts was bitter when Pence got it.
I think this is just more opportunism by the big greasy faker.
