That's just the one counted c.i. I have a feeling it is about 4-5 times that much when the dust clears-
yesterday afternoon i had MSNBC on while i was eating lunch. what they were showing was the current bombing going on in Bagdad, very visual, then this talking head voice comes on saying "we should also keep in mind that some people might be dying" DOH!!!!
Where, oh where is Walter Cronkite?
I heard what's his name from the Mooney's Paper (Washington Times) talking about how Walter Cronkite came out against Arnett, but do you think he would ever mention that Cronkite was against the War - period!
I hear he got a job as a lookalike for Saddam. A little black hair dye goes a long ways.
Some people doesn't mind the dead count, because it's Iraq's peace we're working for, and the dead, dying, and wounded are not our family or friend. It's a war that's going on half way around the world, and it's not our cities and homes bombed all to smitherings. c.i.

Talking heads. It seems that every time one of these actions is ongoing retired general and colonels get a chance to supplement their pensions.
au, now it looks like there going to get into being a "government" - did you hear about the ex-CIA chief, Woolsey, becoming the Minister of Information (Truth)- egads!

Who better to make sure that the truth about anything remains buried?
Baghdad, is a great place to buy property. Palaces at knock-down prices, oil revenues galore - and no Iraqis ..... once Bush, Rumsfeld and Cheney have finished 'liberating' them from Saddam.
I have to wonder how much a decisive victory in Iraq and a success at winning the peace, if that is what happens, will effect the next election. Will that if it occurs make Bush a shoo in? Would anyone like to venture a guess.
Year and a half of economy yet to go au! Of course, there is the question of finding WoMD and a real Saddam - al Queda link. Though, for me that would make no difference. I always have believed in the former and the later was purely weak at best - a linking of evils only.

True but the campaign for the hearts and minds of the electorate is about to start.
This article should shed some light on the thinking of our next crop of voters. The left wing liberal professors are not being able to sell their radical form of liberalism.
au, there is nothing ultra liberal about America today. I don't think we have any idea what is going to happen politically after the "War". There were even signs that the general mood of the populace was about the economy, even in the past couple of weeks. Bush has had some stunning upsets in Congress over the last 3 weeks that have been over shadowed in the news. This is proof that some Republicans are positioning themselves. There is more upheaval over the land about radical conservatism. The mind set is that one does not mess with the troops.
One thing is for sure - the table is set, now we will see how Bush handles it.

True except for the academics left over from the Viet Nam war era. That was my point.
I understand, and agree - right/right and left/left is bad!
