@Leadfoot,
You're right about that seeming to be a good thing. Typically, they will need approval and notice. If they can't have the approval, they can often accept being noticed in other ways.

Very much so. The bad news is that it is almost impossible to help someone with that condition. Even when their actions make them thoroughly unhappy, they think - 'Help?, why would I need help, there's nothing wrong with ME'.
