De nada, amigo! Espero que te ayuden los cognados Very Happy.

Very Happy It will, as you've seen, take a while to get through to Z... but we'll get there, in maybe a week? Besides, this means that you can stock up on paper Very Happy. I'll carry on posting these until we finish.

Do you prefer me to leave the English equivalents out, or should I keep writing them?

I am cutting and pasting into a word document, then will put on blank business cards which I have ordered especialamente. Then I will learn in groups of as many as I can handle, probably picking out the ones that I would use frequently and noting the other.

But, oh!, what a tremendous help this will be for my neighbors, four from Mexico, and we are supposed to meet by the pool at nueves horas this noche. I wondered what we would talk about, having already exhausted the typical "how-de-do's."

Not tasteless, imo. Just funny.

Heheheh... Very Happy. La migra are the top level of the immigration police, out to catch those illegally staying in the US...

I wonder how they'd react if they were told that most of the US was Mexican once? Surely, if they had Irish blood, living in the US, they would want to be accepted in Ireland, where they originated from, when they return. What's the difference?

You guys just reminded me of a popular song round these parts. Drom, I'll let you interpret for dupre.

Tip-O-The Hat to O'Bill

Frijolero(beaner song)

Yo ya estoy hasta la madre
de que me pongan sombrero
escucha entonces cuando digo
no me llames frijolero!!!

Y aunque exista algún respeto
no metamos las narices
por que inflamos la moneda
haciendo guerra a otros países

Te pagamos con petróleo
e intereses nuestra deuda
mientras tanto no sabemos
quien se queda con la feria!!!

Aunque nos hagan la fama
de que somos vendedores
de la droga que sembramos
ustedes son consumidores!!!

Don't call me gringo,
You fu**in beaner
stay on your side
of that goddamn river
don't call me gringo,
You beaner!!!

No me digas beaner,
Mr. Puñetero
Te sacaré un susto
por racista y culero.
No me llames frijolero,
Pinche gringo puñetero.
Chingado!!

Now I wish I had a dime
for every single time
I've gotten stared down
For being in the wrong side of town.

And a rich man I'd be
if I had that kind of chips
lately I wanna smack the mouths
of these racists

Podrás imaginarte desde afuera,
ser un Mexicano cruzando la frontera,
pensando en tu familia mientras que pasas,
dejando todo lo tu que conoces atrás.

Si tuvieras tu que esquivar las balas
de unos cuantos gringos rancheros
Les seguirás diciendo good for nothing wetback?
si tuvieras tu que empezar de cero.

Now why don't you look down
to where your feet is planted
That U.S. soil that makes you take **** for granted
If not for Santa Ana, just to let you know
That where your feet are planted would be Mexico
Correcto!!!!

Don't call me gringo,
You fu**in beaner
stay on your side
of that goddamn river
don't call me gringo,
You beaner!!!

No me digas beaner,
Mr. Puñetero
Te sacaré un susto

OK... here's a version with the swears taken out, so that I'm not banned.

I'm sick and tired of them putting this hat on me
Listen now when I tell you; don't call me beaner.

And though there is some respect and we do not interfere
We never inflate currency making war on other countries

We pay you our debt with oil and interests
But we know not who winds up with the change

Although we are famous for being the sellers
of the drugs we grow, you all are the consumers.

--Don't call me gringo, you f----g beaner
--Stay on your side of the goddamn river
--Do not call me gringo, you beaner

Don't call me beaner, Mr. M____r
I'll give you a scare for being a racist and ass-coward;
Don't call me frijolero', c__t gringo mas____r.

Now I wish I had a dime for every single time
I have been stared down for being in the wrong side of town
And a rich man I'd be if I had that kind of chips
Lately I want to smack the mouths of these racists

Can you imagine yourself
As a Mexican crossing the border
Thinking of your family while you cross
Leaving all you know behind
What if you had to dodge bullets
Of some gringo ranchers
Would you keep saying 'good for nothing wetback?'
If you had to start from scratch?
Now why do you not look down
Where your feet are planted
That U.S. soil that makes you take **** for granted
If it weren't for Santa Ana, just to let you know
That where your feed are planted would be Mexico
Correcto!
