Is it okay if two Finnish immigrants, who don't know English, speak French in the US?

My two neighbors are too scared to learn English for many reasons regarding stereotypes. Their love of French has made them incorporate the language in their everyday life. I know French, so it's quite easy to converse with them. But they do go to school, and Californians don't know French.

Few people will understand them, unless they happen across a group of people who speak French.

But there will not be any laws against it or anything like that.

The school will probably try to teach them English, and in fact will probably have English classes as required courses.

@xxPhoebeMertensxx,
Let their parents and teachers sort that out.

The two Finnish - I guess - immigrant children - do not know English.
That sounds very strange as children in Finland have to learn English at an early start. How come they know French, which is so far from Finland and is only taught as a second or third foreign language, and is spoken by these kids.
Do the parents not speak English and how come they can work in USA if they do not know the language?

Having read some other posts by the OP, I suspect that these "Finnish immigrants" may be imaginary, or if not, the OP has got the wrong end of the stick in some way. or we are having our chains yanked.

The OP says they are Japanese in another thread.

@Tes yeux noirs,
There certainly is something strange.
You do not just get a visa for immigration to USA if you do not speak English - in this case the parents.
What does the OP mean by sterotypical education in Finnland? You learn first English and later French.
Yes Finns do speak with a heavy accent as they have difficulties in pronouncing certain sounds - not just in English.
The OP should only speak English with these two teenagers. Refuse to answer when spoken to in French or whatever language.

@Olivier5,
Nope, are you enforcing stereotypes? What's next, they have to like heavy metal, hockey, and gaming?

@saab,
How do Latin Americans, especially from Mexico, and Middle Easterns get in here then?
The stereotypical education is learning English, Swedish, and another language, the most popular being German.

@saab,
That is a stereotype. There are people in finland that only know finnish to avoid stereotypes.

@saab,
They have a heavy accent? Thought they all sounded British.

@Lordyaswas,
Nope. Just two Finnish immigrants breaking well-known stereotypes that EVERYONE still enforces even though they should show compassion and congratulate them for doing so.

@xxPhoebeMertensxx,
Can everyone here stop enforcing stereotypes? It's not like the next day they start speaking in British accents, become intelligent coders, listen to and praise Metallica and AC-DC, buy an Xbox One and start playing Call of Duty, start becoming Star Wars geeks, and watch hockey games.

Finland has stereotypes just like every other country does. It's not like their special in some sort of way.

@xxPhoebeMertensxx,
You apparently have never met any Finnish people , let alone Finnish immigrants.

@ehBeth,
Don't tell me the majority are intelligent individuals who excel in English and computer coding, love heavy metal, hockey, video games, and Star Wars, and have British accents.

That's what Finnish people on the Internet (ex. Youtube, forums, etc) are like.
