What makes John Kerry a good Candidate?

Reply Sun 22 Aug, 2004 08:13 am
Come on Dems, let's here it!

Here is my take, any man that has commited the atrocities that he has admitted to, should not be the President of the United States.

Kerry is out for one person, himself.

George Bush will have no problem winning by a landslide!

Well, there we have it. No one can think of anything that makes Lurch a good Candidate.

Thank you all!

No, just a member that's been here long enough to know the Mods are serious about such violations.

Check out the 'How Did you find out about this site" thread for a history of the site. If you click "new posts" on the top right side of this page, it should be on the first page of threads still.

Will address your initial post in a minute. I'm sure this will get lively! Laughing

It isn't a prerequisite that right wing republicans be nasty. Is it?

while I would not have said this in recent history, I now realized John Kerry may very well win this election (not on his own merit) because George W is rapidly losing whatever credibility he may have once had.

I voted for Bush in 2000 because I felt we needed a change, because I bought his "moderate persona" image, because I believed him when he said he did not believe the US ought to be in the "business of nation building", and because I believed him when he said he was a uniter not a divider.

All of his words have proven to be untrue (IMO), and I will be voting for Kerry in '04. I suspect there are many other "independents" out there who will be doing the same.

I'm happy you didn't say you're "holding your breath". Would hate to think of anyone turning blue and passing out LOL.

There are enough Independents out there to swing a Bush win, if not a landslide. Since it will no doubt be close, I'm sure we'll have four more years of how he "stole" this election also. We can live with that since we've been hearing it nonstop for the past 3-1/2 years.

I'll leave it at that, but most likely won't come back to say "I told you so", although I may steal Montana's idea and put up a big old smiley face.

Hate to break the news to JustWonders but historically undecideds swing to the challenger. Bush is toast, thank god!

Thanks for the history lesson, Harper. I hate to break the news to you, but history was made on 9/11/01 and once the Independents or "undecideds" figure out that Hanoi John's "plan" for keeping them safe is to join hands with the terrorists and sing Kumbaya while dreaming of world peace, they'll check that box next to George Bush's name faster than you can say Kerry is Scary.

We won't gloat...too much.

Anyone else sick of hearing the 9/11 anthem? I'm about ill from it.

As for the original post, I'd like to ask the poster what atrocities Kerry has admitted to committing. I'd really like to know so that I can change my vote if it's true.

FreeDuck (typed that VERY carefully LOL) -

Sorry you're sick, but the truth is this election will most likely be about national security. If it makes you feel better, perhaps some who are still on the fence will realize the economy is indeed improving, unemployment is down, the tax cuts ARE working, etc.

But...once in the voting booth, my feeling is most will ask themselves who makes them feel safer.

By the way...that mountain you're on must really be isolated if you truly haven't heard of the atrocities Hanoi John has admitted to.

JustWonders (don't let the finger slip on the F key),

You may be right about voters in the privacy of the voting booth, though that won't be how I decide my vote. But please do enlighten me on the atrocities, as I haven't heard that from a credible source.

FreeDuck - I agree with you. Kerry is NOT credible!

Now if we can just convince the rest of the neo-Dems.
