My girlfriend and I had sex 3 days ago, on Sunday. She is one birth control, and she has been for about two years now. She also has a cyst on one of her ovaries. Her period was supposed to start Monday, one day ago. It is now Tuesday and for the past few days she has had brownish, red, and chunky vaginal discharge. This is not normal for her. She says her pain is where her ovary is and not where her usual period crampa are at. What could cause this? Should we have reason to worry about pregnancy?

If she's having pain and unusual discharge, get her to a doc. Ovarian cysts can be dangerous at times.
