I understand that coal miners are subject to black lung disease.
Are people who use the subways (e.g., New York City), subject to any similar disease?
People riding the subway are exposed to every germ known to mankind! I am not familiar with anything called "subway disease" but you can rest assrued if there's something going aroung, it's on the subway!
I'm going to go out on a limb and just say no. From what I know of subways, they are driven by electric motors. Anyway, coal miners, at one time, were in environments where the dust was so thick, you couldn't see ten feet ahead.
