HAHA
haha I cant beleive this thread has tunred into a topic about Santa Claus. I used to set traps for him when I was a kid. Used to tie a rope to my stocking and put it round my foot, so when the apples n whatever **** fell in it would tug on my leg and wake me up.

Never worked just used to wake up with a dead foot.

Does anyone have any comments on the infinate expanses of the universe, this one always puzzles me. It makes sense to think that the universe can not go on forever as infinity is an abstract concept but at the same time it cannot have boundarys because there must always be something else for it to be contained in.

Any thoughts?

To all the Santa bashers, do you know bun bun? Are you in league with him?

donahue, just cause something is abstract does not invalidate it's existence. Love is abstract. So is hate.

I think the vastness of the universe is too great for the human mind (of today) to fathom. I like to think that it will go on and on, yet turn in on itself, so that you could travel in a straight line for an astronomic amount of time only to discover you have ended up on the place of departure, which wouldn't be there anymore, because by that time everything has changed Smile (My maths teacher would say this is impossible)

And by the way, Santa is absolutely real. He lives no more than 100 km from here on the Arctic Circle and you can come an visit him if you like Very Happy

if i caught santa
If I caught Santa I was gonna hang him up and practice my karate kicks on his fat belly, then go take his sledge for a joy ride and do afew fly bys on them pesky dwarfs.

How is love and hate abstract?

An abstract thing is something which exists only as a mental concept.

God is Real

But don't you think it is pointless to believe in something that is obviously not true, Its not that the truth about religion is hiding somewhere. Religion is a story that simple people made up to try and better understand the world when they had no real answers. To see it more than a story seems illogical to me.

Plus Santa Claus is long gone, died long ago but the STORY lives on.

FACT

There is no science that has proven God doesn't exist. If you are an atheist then you have faith that He doesn't exist, similar to theists who have faith that He does. Don't fool yourself into thinking science has replaced religion.

Near death experiences show strong evidence we will live after the death of our bodies, indicating something more than this physical world.

Science doesn't know anymore where this universe came from than a broom stick, don't let yourself be fooled without study the issues.
