Please answer does this guy like me or not??

So there's this guy in my french class but we dont sit near eachother so we dont talk. But whenever we walk past or are near he looks at me alot. He once asked one of my friends about me like what i looked like. I also heard him say my name to his friend in class. We dont talk but i think he likes me because he's always looking at me and he sometimes comes close to me?

He doesn't know you, how can he actually like you unless it's for your looks? He may think you are cute or pretty but he asks someone else what you look like? Are you heavily clothed, including a hair covering?

As Jespah said, it's ok to say hi to people - or give a small smile, if that is more comfortable for you.
