How do you like your coffee?

I was a heavy caffiene addict, but in the form of Pepsi.

I had given thought to quitting caffiene for my NYR, but circumstances gave me a nudge in early December.

I've been caffiene free for 6 weeks. It hasn't been a big deal, but I do notice that my energy level is more constant throughout the day, not the peaks and valleys that I had become accustomed to. My co-workers cannot believe that I quit "cold turkey."

For a special treat I like espresso with real, hand-whipped cream. Or a mocha.

Wow! How much coffee did you have thru the day? I couldn't do that. I see it as a fact the sum of my vices are a constant, which means if I give one up, I'll acquire another one. Who knows what that would be?

Gautam,I´m on at least three litres of Joe a day.
Suddenly got concerned after I read an article on coffee=cancer but,you know, after a few hours forgot all about it.
The 20 cigarettes with the coffee is far worse for my health.

Setanta, I have a mental picture of you walking down the halls with the IV stand dragging along. A young candy striper chases you with a fresh pot of java.

Sublime,I´ve been thinking about this "young candy striper" chasing Setanta with "a fresh pot of java".
I´m very confused.
If he´s getting the good stuff intravenously why would he need a new fresh jug and what in the world is a candy striper?

Well, three espressi on an empty stomach didn't help me to wake up today, bummer!

Perfect thing to wake up, or more as an energy boost during the day, is to mix peppermint-tea with fresh-squeezed lemonjuice! The esotheric oils in mint and lemon, mixed together works wonders! Really, it does. And the taste is also good, refreshing. I usually take it as an icetea.

Other way to wake up while drinking, is having a Mojito, you have the effect of the above-mentioned, but you'll get drunk, and have a fresh breath as a bonus !!! ;-)

heb - a candy-striper used to be a young volunteer in a hospital -- generally young, generally (we fantasize) nubile, and generally in a somewhat short red-and-white striped dress.

funny, though: in my picture setanta is chasing the candy-striper...

Just in case you are wondering - BigDice is talking about the essential oils in mint and lemon. And he does make my instant coffee now using a spoon to measure the amount of coffee for my 'whimp coffee' as he chooses to call it. Pah! It's perfect!
