I don't think drugs are good for the above. They are good when you are ill and need them to get better - some drugs will save your life.
But if you are usuing them for coping or escape, it is only a short-term solution so even if they were not addictive you are not solving whatever issue you have, just using drugs to hide behind it - thus they are bad when used in this way.
I could perhaps, maybe a little bit, understand if you are getting help to solve your longer term issues, perhaps in the short-term under a doctor's guidance use to just to help you cope short term while working for the longer term solution.
