Why do Politics matter?

I'm talking literally. The roads, infrastructure, civil rights, schools, law and order, legislation stopping kids from working adult shifts - all politics.

You know... That really does explain a lot... To me... Until today I honestly had no clue just how integrated into all our systems of life politics has become.

Politics matter here because I am all ways correct and therefore it is my burden to share that correctness with the unwashed heathens and convince them that my way is the better way. Should you disagree, I will insult you and demonstrate why you are a hypocrite. I will then continue to demonstrate why my way is the better way.

Dear God I hope that was sarcastic. Lol Though its not right to lash out at others if that is how you feel you've been treated.

That is sorta how the politics threads here run. There is not much searching for common ground or acting like the answers are not known by the speaker. I do it too, my approach is to say " this is what I believe and why, if you think I am wrong then please make your case".

Please... I know this is off topic... But can you explain to me this Zen thing? I had an experience with it once... Well he called it Zen. It kind of baffled me. No wait... Crap... I don't remember what it was called... All I know is he said something about Zen or chi or something and As I stood there, focusing on the things he said to focus on he lifted me off the floor several inches... With his fingertips on my elbows only. I was like... Oh. Whoa... What the heck just happened? Perhaps I am confusing things... But in my brain it is still intertwined somehow.

Reading you is like looking for implosion while you are asking the dumb the dumb stuff..
Most of us here don't buy this guy's take on zen. He also calls himself a socialisst, and he is not that either.

If you need to ask, consider asking FBM, also known as former buddhist monk, if he will answer. He is probably the coolist a2ker we have going, but explaining is probably not his deal.

I seriously doubt fbm would give me even a moment of his attention! I am not certain of Hawkeye's history here, or what he has done to earn such a label, but I can tell you this... Even if he has been wrong in many things he's said and done here... His heart is in the right place. I don't doubt that for a moment.

Wait! Please don't go away osso. I have not shut fbm off. I just said I doubt he would give me an answer... Based purely on previous interactions with me personally. He , as many others seems to have already labeled me. I'm a fanatic... Christian at that. The odds were stacked against me before I even said a word.
