How does the Bible show that the dead are conscious of nothing?

What gets me is that they spend all their time doing the exact opposite of what Christ preached while arguing for the existence of God.

By and large the overtly religious posters are the nastiest people on A2K.

And where did Jesus ever 'ARGUE; for the existence of God, the people he spoke with, were convinced there was a God, even the demon possessed cried out to him, "What do you want with us you son of God, have you come to destroy us before our time".

And I follow the example of Jesus, who attacked those who twisted and distorted the words of the lord, calling them hypocrites, sons of vipers, Serpents, and Sons of Satan, the father of all lies.

But you, a biblical ignoramus atheist, wouldn't have a clue as to what Jesus had preached, would you?

Jesus, who after seeing the thieving money changers in the court yard of the temple, went back to Bethany, where he made himself a whip, and next morning he returned to the temple and overturned the tables of the money changers and flogged the hell out of them, driving them out of the courtyard like the mob of thieving swine that they were. (See Matthew 21.)

He was not the little love doll that most of the so-called Christians have made him out to be.

If Annoited things he can question your Agnosticism then it’s only fair that we question his Christianity.

I don’t have a problem with Christians, Spademaster was a Christian who spent most of his time on A2K reaching out to people and apologising if he caused offence.

He was a real Christian, doing his best to live his life as Christ would and he was the polar opposite of Annointed who clearly is not a Christian.

He worships a foul hate filled pustule just like himself which is why he believes
he was made in his creator’s image.

That makes him a **** worshipper.

Jesus who couldn't stand cheats and thieves and those who wrongly used the temple of his God, who after seeing the thieving money changers and the cheating pigeon and animal sellers in the court yard of the temple, returned to Bethany because it was then late in the day, where he made himself a whip out of rope and next morning returned to the Temple and over turned the tables of the thieving money changers and the stalls, whipping the hell out of those who defamed the house of his God, and drove them out like the herd of swine that they were.

Jesus who had been groomed by the northern Zealots to inherit David's throne, and free Israel from the yoke of Roman rule, was not the ever forgiving love doll that the so-called Christians of today have made him out to be. See John 2: 15.

I haven’t been reading his posts, but I did notice one thing which seems to be a trend in far right posters, turn the user name into something insulting.

It’s something we grew out of when we went through puberty but I can still make a better job of it.

If you breakdown Anointed you get an, short for anal and ion, short for ointment.

So arsecream, buttlotion, bumsweat, pile treatment and haemorrhoid boy would all be suitable appellations if I was that childish.

But I’m super grown up so I won’t refer to him in such a manner.

One definition of the word "RELIGION".....Any objective pursued with zeal of conscientious devotion.

And the atheists who haunt the forums pursuing their only purpose, which is to attempt to convert a believer over to their hopeless religion, they do with conscientious devotion.

Funny how you defend both atheism and Catholicism, ah well, one's as bad as the other aren't they?

As you claim to be 85, then I hope that you enjoy the few short years that's left of your loveless, joyless, and hopeless life, and I hope the next one that you have wished for, is better than this one, no matter in what sort of body your emptied soul will be given.

One can clearly sit on the fence and believe that God exists or doesn’t exist or have the view that one is not sure….however there is the possibility that even the devil can do that.

My view therefore is that HOPING that the God of the bible exists or doesn’t exist is not the main message that the Christian bible is trying to get across ultimately.
