We have been labeled as trolls and freaks and geeks because we have expressed opinions that some people don't approve of. I have decided to own the term. And why not? This is an open forum which works best when ideas and opinions can be expressed freely.

The trolls here are the people who are willing to ask questions and the engage in interesting discussions. It is not the trolls who are making personal attacks or trying to shut down discussion.

So let's unite, not as people in lock step agreement, but as people who want A2K to be a place where difference of opinion is respected and debates can be based on ideas rather than personal attacks.

If you want the proud label of A2K Troll, I would ask three simple things.

1) You express your ideas and opinions freely without fear, and you respond when people question or challenge them.

2) You don't attack people personally. You can attack opinions, or question ideas without name calling or making personal attacks. If you choose to not engage, then you don't engage.

3) You support your fellow trolls right to express their own opinions even if you don't agree with them.

So let's stand up to the bullying. Let's stop the attempts to shut down discussion and demonize members, The cool kids won't like it much, but if we stand up for each other there isn't much they can do about it.

I am a proud A2K Troll. You can join me if you want, we trolls are an inclusive bunch. You can like guns and be a troll, you can hate guns and be a troll. You can be a Creationist or an Evolutionist or an Atheist or a Muslim. We will take you all, as long as you don't make personal attacks.
