Yup...another day where we do not know if any gods exist or not.
So why waste valuable time? Science cannot prove there is a god and cannot disprove there is a god. Most scientists do not believe in spiritual gods, especially observing how our species is a byproduct of Nature who has invented his gods since he began to use his brain.
(In the world of theoretical physics, these Department Heads/Groups, would never offer tenure to a Devout Muslim, an Orthodox Jew, or highly religious Christian who believes a man named Jesus died on the cross for mankind's sins. The religious beliefs, a very good part of who these religious persons are, conflict with Science' theoretical beliefs.)
In the beginning of Man's initial awareness, there was Paganism; he worshipped Mother Nature, trees, stones, animals, etc. One day there was this revelation, the concept of one god. All these gods were a creation of Mankind's imaginative mindset, a species just beginning to think in the abstract, and desperately in need of a power that was greater than himself as a protector. Our species is finite and during our short sojourn on this planet many have sought to think of an existence after death, that there is a heaven. In reality the only heaven is death, a prolonged sleep, escape from the many troubles of the world.
There are enough science fiction movies out there to whet one's appetite and those with a fertile imagination will dare to dream that perhaps in other worlds within our Universe there might be such a god(s). I have enough just trying to deal with the reality of life in this world and will leave the speculation to others.
